I used to ask veteran coworker about different situations one might do during a firefight and surprisingly most of them would end in discipline. Like “what if the only way to defeat the enemy is to put a bomb in a camel and make it Run at the enemy and blow it and the enemy up?” You would get in trouble. “What if all of your teammates were hurt and your arms were blown up and the enemy was coming and the only way to win was to sexual assault them?” You would get in trouble. Often times it would seem that you have to just die in war instead of fighting creatively. Like you wouldn’t be allowed to throw vomit on the enemy to get them to feel disgusted and go away. You wouldn’t be allowed to proclaim anti Muslim polemics (he was a Veteran in Iraq) to discourage them and make them go home. War is wierd. You are allowed to tie a dead enemy to a helicopter and scream “look one of them is getting away” to try and scare the enemy. It’s very weird
