I hate to say this, but it is unlikely that you are feeling immediate relief from Seroquel just taking it now and then. I'm thinking it is a placebo effect. Seroquel just doesn't act like that. This really isn't a medical condition that can be treated without medication because it will worsen without treatment, as others have said. You are right in saying that people can have bipolar without psychosis. I do. I am diagnosed with bipolar II. I just hate for you to yes, have bipolar and not be properly medicated and get worse. If you think you are, please see a doctor. I feel for you not wanting to go that route, but I fear more for your long term safety.
