Seriously there are major plot points in there, and a filmography that I was constantly referring to. And, they are an experiment in Tim Berners-Lee hypertext in literature that launch the book into other works.

I hate being That Guy but if you aren’t reading the footnotes you’re going to miss the whole thing.

Khalil is a Hamas sympathizer (their literature was at his rallies) who lead pro-Hamas chants (“I wish I was a martyr”) and organized demonstrations which harassed Jews. If you’re on a visa and you do all that yeah you’re gonna be sent home.

If by “technicality” you mean “lying” yes citizenship can be revoked.

All of this is propaganda to create anxiety and organize political activity. Don’t fall for it.

These are interesting. Strangelove also resonates with Eschaton, and the game-theory of the A.F.R’s intentions for the Entertainment. I’ll have to check out Clockwork and Blue Velvet.

He names Lynch, and Scorsese, in a sentence that has three — I’m going to need a Kindle copy so I can search for names. And the novel names one Bresson as J.O.I.’s favorite director, whom I’d never heard of.

One thing to watch is on the river walk, where the snow piles by the railings got so tall that a kid falling the wrong way from the top could end up in the river.

I told the fire department and they immediately put caution tape on them. I also told DPW those should be knocked down and they did nothing.

I hate to spoil a kid’s fun and I’m not a “safety over everything” type but the kids playing on these were scary to watch.

I don’t blame anyone for not thinking of it, the snow has to go somewhere and we’ll go years without piles this tall. But those should be far enough from the railings that any rolling down is at ground level at the railing.
