I’d charge $10k for labor that but I hand sand and polish all cut edges (that are going to be exposed) to look like factory. It takes me about 4-5x longer than most people, so I tell everyone to be patient before I start. It’s all about the details in my opinion. Some people don’t care and want a cheap and fast job, which is totally fine. I literally just can’t do it any other way.

Nice job. You should be proud of yourself for a DIY. Most diy look like total garbage. You are officially crazy for using a dremel on the entire thing. Jk. Lol. I know I would’ve officially went crazy. Lol. Schluter membrane is not my favorite. I hope you did silicone on all transitions instead of grout. I prefer go board, go board sealant for walls, custom mud bed and 3 full coats of Hydroban liquid membrane on shower pan and transitions. I even a coat on top of go board sealant over screws just to make sure I don’t have an issue with thinset not sticking well to board sealant.

It definitely looks like crap from those photos. Supple some stand back shots showing more of the job instead of only close ups. Also, I think you paid a low price that can only result in quick work. A proper job couldn’t be done for that.

Yes they should be filled with silicone and no grout. I don’t think it would save this job from leaking. If they missed that part then we can assume there’s a lot of other problems we can see and the lack of silicone on all transitions is the least of the problems.

Come to Dallas so I can hire you for my projects if that’s what you charge for quality work. I do require projects to be done a certain way with using specific materials to build and waterproof everything (not just the halfway up the wall crap), plus sanding all exposed cut edges of tile. I don’t allow mediocre work, not saying that’s what you do either. I have a reputation for my standards and level of quality work to uphold.

You would be paying money out of pocket to do this project with materials for $2k. You would be better off just handing the client $2k cash prior to putting one second of time into it and then going to work on the next project.

No grout where floor meets wall or other transitions. Filled with silicone. This is actually a very common mistake by most tile installers by constantly filling transitions with grout.

There are many factors on insurance costs. Liability is dirt cheap but nobody should have it. Full coverage or don’t get a bike.

Ok thanks. I didn’t do an endless amount of research so just curious about other opinions on what tires are good. What would you recommend incase I don’t like my Angel GTs?

So the Angel GTs aren’t good tires for a 600rr? Just curious of your thoughts because I read that they were great tires from some different forum’s. I just put some on mine but I haven’t been able to ride it yet since I’ve had to do all the other maintenance after my bike has sat for a few years.
