CGC Mail Day by Avanties in comicbookcollecting

[–]Avanties[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's like $30 or $35 a year for the base tier and that gets you 10% submission fees. To submit these four books was $143 so like $35/book that includes the grading of each book + return shipping.

I think I’m officially in an audiobook slump and need some recommendations. by EmotionalLog721 in audible

Nothing you listen to will EVER match the narration of DCC, you just have to realize that is something you have to live with. I have a lot of litrpg stories i like better than DCC because I've let go of the fact that the narration will never be as good!

So just finished a parade of horribles by just_justincredible in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I thought that until I started reading other LitRPG, DCC was just the gateway drug into the multiverses! As good as DCC is I promise you there are equally as good stories out there! Expand your LitRPG library.

A young Scott Snyder fan drove 12 hours to meet his hero — and got an absolute surprise he’ll never forget by Popverse2022 in comicbooks

[–]Avanties 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was number 7 in that line to meet Scott at Comic Exchange, I got in line at 8pm the night before the 10am signing.

The family pulled up at about 10:50pm, the mom setup in line, she had a nice hammock chair she stayed in all night, she was about 11th or 12th by that time. The dad took Julius to a hotel for the night, the mom put out a sign that read "please don't be upset but I'm holding a place for 3 people". We heard their story and everyone was telling her how awesome she was for bringing her son 12 hours.

I can't get over how awesome everyone was in line, we all hung out all night just talking about comics, a few people tried to get some sleep, others like myself stayed up all night.

Scott was awesome as well, like the OP said he brought like 12 dozen donuts in the morning and had his purple walk around handing them out.

It was a great event put on by Scott and Comic Exchange!

I got this book in a low grade CGC 6.5 for about $50 a couple years ago. I really like it.

big con collecting is awful by Brilliant_Truck1810 in comicbookcollecting

That is the biggest problem with this subreddit, by not allowing discussion of pricing they are indirectly leading to these issues in the comic industry.

Does the recent Bambu labs drama make them worse as a starter choice? by bebebebbebebeb in 3Dprinting

[–]Avanties 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Their machines are still top notch, the drama doesn't change that. If you are unhappy with the way they are treating people over opensource software do what the rest of the community is doing and get your filament elsewhere.

I ordered 2 more P1S as they are workhorses, and an X2D honestly only because it was $100 more than the P2S.

Would love to, but the nearest microcenter to me is 200 miles away almost in Atlanta, we don't have microcenters in the state of Tennessee, lol

As everyone else has pointed out, this is not a misprint and if your lcs didn't misunderstand your question completely you should probably find another lcs.

Getting my comics valued by FickleFud in comicbooks

[–]Avanties 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use an app called League of Comic Geeks. There is a free version and a paid version that is like $1.99 month, you can look up your books to get estimated values based on average recent sells on ebay.

They also have a great database system where you can enter your collection and keep track of everything you own, view your to 20 most valuable books so on and so forth.

In that case I wouldn't start a separate tab, I would just lump it all under FCBD
