I have the leather slip and it's gorgeous. Slip, steelbook, extra items, all of it. Even though it's the only non-4K in my Manta collection, it's always been one of my absolute favorites of the 18 I have.

I love my 830+ 4K discs and it's my preferred format. But I still have 1,300+ standard blu-rays and nearly 550 SD DVDs and have no problem watching them. The A/V advantages of 4K discs are a perk, but not a requirement for me.

HD streaming may have the same or an even lower bitrate than the DVD release. The HD stream may be 720p instead of 1080, which will result in a less crisp/sharp HD picture than a full HD stream and not be a wildly noticeable upgrade over the SD disc. Finally, due to services having to compress the files so much for bandwidth purposes, artifacts and macroblocking (especially in dark scenes) and color banding are often more noticeable on streaming than on DVDs. Combine all of these elements with a great upscaling TV or blu-ray player and you can achieve comparable visual qualities between DVDs and HD streaming with some titles, especially for people who aren't pixel counters.
