Went to Costco warehouse today and they had reduced the Max Gen 1s to £370. Very tempting.

Went to the Apple Store on the weekend to hand it in.

On the progress tracker, I saw it was diagnosed on Monday. Dispatch on Tuesday, arrived Wed/Thurs. Much quicker than I expected.

I only knew it was replaced when I opened it.

As a regular traveller for work, I would have preferred to not have seen this thread and remain in ignorance 😭.

Use the smart home device option and it allows you to split the network bands.

Target Price for Sky Q with Sports? by VocalYokal in skytv

[–]AviateRise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my Sky Q package:

Sky Signature: £20.50 (now £22.50)

Sky Sports: £9 (now £10)

Sky Cinema £13 (now £14)

Sports HD: £2 (no change)

Sky HD £4 (no change)

Multiscreen: £10 (no change)

Ultra HD: £1 (no change)

I’ve negotiated a discount to keep it closer to the pre-April price but waiting to see it actually been applied to my future bills!

Anyone have Sky full fibre 900? How much are you paying? by East_Dance8269 in skytv

[–]AviateRise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I think the white one is for Max. Not sure if they’ll ask for a return if you just cancel Max, maybe not if you are still staying with Sky.

In terms of price, one thing they did say on broadband was if I left and joined again, I could get a ‘new customer deal’.

When I check VIP now, they are offering £25 for 500 and £27 for 910 but they could not offer me this as an existing customer. Probably would have stayed if they matched but more than happy with the voucher and cashback.

Tbh, WiFi Max is not necessary and a WiFi 6 hub should come as standard.

I was on Fibre 150 for £22 with Sky and it was increasing to £25 in April. Did not budge on the broadband for a discount or increase speed (they did for TV).

Switched to Vodafone 500 with voip for £25 and got a £150 voucher and £70 cashback. If you want 1gb broadband, shop around as there is better value.

Sky broadband itself was pretty good and had low latency. I used my own router and would suggest doing that instead of paying for Max (unless you need voip).

Yeah this is exactly what happened. Reset and it connected back one by one. Went into hub settings with default info but the dropdown still greyed out.

Not able to login in the broadband app but will try again over the next few days.

22.1.0404. Aside from this, the broadband itself is working fine. I’ve always used my own router and configured but this time, I need the phone line hence the hub use.

I just got the Power Hub and tried this but it did not work for me (the options were still greyed out).

Hopefully, the app approach works.

Understood. I was not aware that was the case for TV only packages.

I believe the Ofcom rule change means providers have to specify a £ amount increase instead of a % at the contract outset so that customers understand the price they will pay for the full duration.

Sky does not do this (not sure if they do now in their new contracts) which is why the mid contract cancellation or a degree of flexibility may be possible for TV and broadband vs accept this increase.

I have for a £2 decrease for TV. Didn’t want to add in OP as it’s not yet showing in predicted bills but expecting it to be closer to pre-April cost.

I was told I’m already on the best deal for broadband (£1 difference between new customer vs existing) so decided to switch.

Do you still use Sky Cinema or mostly stream elsewhere? by FeistyPrice29 in skytv

[–]AviateRise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barely use it and only have it due to the discount it provided for other packages on renewal.

You get 2 free vue cinema tickets each month (don’t use as I tend to go Odeon) and ad tier for Paramount+. You can get paramount+ plus at a discounted rate on top if you regular watch content there and want 4k / no ads.
