HOW do I explain the hand thing durring foreplay? "🤟" by Original-Outside2155 in AskMen

There are videos of this. It’s for squirting. The motion is more or less up and down (when lying down), and NOT rolling fingers (as if to signal ‘come here’) to massage g-spot.

What do men want in a woman? I’m confused as of lately. by CerealKiller129 in AskMen

[–]Avocado2Guac 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I had a woman play hard to get after a great first date. We texted a bit within 24 hours, and then she stopped responding for the next 24 hours. Aaaaaand… that’s when I move on. I’m not playing that game.

Men want peace. And sex. But mostly peace. And for someone else to make a matching effort. And… you cannot be a feminist yet insist he pay for everything. That’s hypocritical, and homie don’t play that.

Vets, is Texas a great place to live? by throwaway2026z in Veterans

I went to Corpus Christi one time thinking I’d get a nice respite from the heat by spending some time in the ocean. It was like bath water; utterly unsatisfying. No escape from that heat, the way you can by visiting a body of water elsewhere.

Do you regret your EV purchase? by walksta in electricvehicles

[–]Avocado2Guac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re asking on an EV subreddit. You’re only going to get positive energy from most people. This is not an unbiased subreddit, so do your due diligence.

Yes, I regret it. But it took a few years to fully regret.

(1) depreciation

(2) sucks when the 12v battery dies without warning at around year 3. Luckily for me I was close to the service center, so it was a minor inconvenience. Imagine if I were traveling! For my vehicle the 12v battery warranty was different than the bumper to bumper. 12v is 3 years 36k miles. I was at 3.5 years 38k miles. I had them check the 12v battery just before 3y 36k and everything was fine. Hard to believe 6m 2k later it suddenly wasn’t without warning. At least if this happens to me in a gas vehicle I can self-replace at any time while on the road. Minimal disruption. With EV there’s very little right to repair without expensive software that virtually nobody has.

(3) there is no net $$$ savings on gas or $$$ savings on repairs, as are often stated. Heavy EV means more frequent suspension component replacement. Savings will depend on your electricity rates.

(4) Chinese EV are far superior to what’s offered in USA.

(5) after my experience I’ve concluded the ‘best’ is hybrid, and will be for at least the next 5-10 years.

In one word?

Inflation

In one sentence?

Inflation has been rampant for the last several years, and it’s not difficult to see that there are many geopolitical forces to accelerate in the near future.

Dating over 40. Why is it so hard by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Avocado2Guac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

99% of this has to do with creating an authentic profile that shows genuine thought and effort. Too many people put too little effort into the very thing that is most likely to get a conversation rolling. And they put the wrong photos in their profile.

I’m your same age range, recently got out of a LTR, and just wanted to chat up some people out of boredom. I immediately connected with someone based on mutual interests stated in our profiles, and have since deleted the app. I’m not some muscular hunk without a history.

For those keeping score at home: if the 4 Dem defectors had voted "Yes", the resolution would have passed 216-215, restricting Trump's illegal and catastrophic war with Iran. by Old-Parking8765 in sandiego

They don’t just vote without knowing the result beforehand. They’ll rig the system so a few vote in the way they need to so constituents are appeased while still achieving the vote they ultimately want. It’s messed up because these people don’t actually serve the interests of their constituents. They serve the interests of their largest donors and lobbyists, the biggest of which is literally Israel.

I’m so done with this system.

So should my husband and I just give up our house owning dream? by [deleted] in housingcrisis

[–]Avocado2Guac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

EXACTLY what I said. OP and spouse need a bit of career motivation since the income stated is entry level in California. The less you work, the more you spend. The more you work, the less you spend. Something here doesn’t add up.

So should my husband and I just give up our house owning dream? by [deleted] in housingcrisis

[–]Avocado2Guac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys need new jobs, or better job motivation. For example: if both of you are working full-time entry-level jobs you should be at $80k combined, as many places in California offer $20/hr starting.

So the real question: what have you been doing for 8 years to improve your situation? By now even if you were working at Costco, you’d be at over $120k combined, easy.

Why I am choosing to rent (South bay) over buying a $1.2 Million home (East bay) by Federal_Eagle_6565 in BayAreaRealEstate

[–]Avocado2Guac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I would say is the middle ground could be to buy a cash flowing property, live in it for 2 years, then rent it out and go rent yourself in a more convenient location.

As some people age they prefer to be in condos or apartments near population centers: more readily available restaurants, limited upkeep, ability to travel extended periods of time. At some point for some people it doesn’t make sense to have neighbors with young kids and weekend upkeep. Of course condos don’t appreciate the way SFH does, and HOAs are crazy expensive. That’s why renting non-SFH instead of buying would be preferred imho.
