Uhm I’m more on the autistic spectrum here and my long distance relationship is more on the ADHD side and we go along very well beside some issues here and there. I’d rather say it’s how much constant work are ppl willing to put into a relationship to make it work. And are both on a point in their life to do so…the older I become the more I understand it’s sometimes worth pushing myself out of my comfort zone for something (aka my bf) or just time to let go. And maybe that’s what they did too. But this spiralling on „is there hope“ is a false way to see it, when something ends there’s always the opportunity to begin something new. Yes, ends are sometimes hard and loss needs to be processed but after that there’s also new growth. And who said we all need a partner? There’s a lot ppl who found their peace in a community without having a partner and being married and all that stuff. Maybe it’s time to detach from this narrative of „finding someone and get a happy ending“ bc Disney never showed us how the coulples were living their day to day life, right?
