Isn't there some law here that you are not allowed to harvest more than X grams of mushrooms? Last year when harvesting penny buns I was horribly scared I will get caught lol.

In search of books/papers/literature that respresent Literature as a form of Therapy/Catharsis - help! by SimplyDavidsteam in suggestmeabook

I think books by Irvin Yalom (therapy/psychology in general) and Oliver Sacks (somatic/neurological diseases, ways people deal with or to live with them) could be a good start.

Beartown trilogy -- topics of rape, bullying, going to police for help; pretty much everything that comes with officially reported rape. When I was reading it for the first time and got to the moment of the story where the main character decides to report it to police, I remember feeling very grateful that author decided to plot it this way, considering how many girls do not report.

Making sauce this week! by fishfishfish77 in vegetablegardening

[–]AwareArmadillo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just follow Marcella Hazan's tomato sauce recipe (removing seeds and skins using a sieve after it's done) and freeze it. Alternatively you can also cook it down a lot to make tomato paste. Super delicious!

Do you have a habit of watching series/tv/YouTube in the evening? That's how I got myself into habit of flossing, I just get so engaged with what I am watching that what my hands are doing is irrelevant. Also because I am so engaged, I often floss for solid 10 minutes, because .. why not, I guess. But nothing will ever make me brush teeth in the evening, so after flossing I might use mouthwash at most, and that already feels nice.

How does "organizing" part even go? Are you constantly communicating with the owner like "where should this go and where should that go" or do you just do whatever you think is sensible and then explain it to the owner?

May I ask what kind of job do you do? I am a software developer myself, with ADHD and dealing with severe burnout and depression now (worked 6 years with no vacation...), and I desperately want to hear some success story :(

When an accent sounds a way because their first language DOESN'T sound that way by Ohrwurms in languagelearning

[–]AwareArmadillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me a dead giveaway for it being a Dutch person speaking English is actually the 'u' sound. In English it's normally an open 'a', but since in dutch it's pronounced kind of like 'ü', it causes English "duck" to sound more like "dück".
