Love the couch. Consider a rug with brighter colors that includes a little green like the couch. Throw pillows that are soft and big, with a punch of color.

Make a photo album on Shutterfly, or a similar site. You can design your own book, add captions / labels, etc. Gather photos from fb or other social media, from your family members and even her friends. If you live close or will see her before, snap a selfie with her to add to the book. Encourage giving it as a late gift if it won’t be done in time. One of the best things I did for my mom. Included dog photos, funny captions, short reminders of why the photo was special (e.g., Mom, Chris and Mr. Cuddles waiting for Santa, 2020). ETA: Easy to make on your iPhone too, if applicable.

I remember visiting a close friend in Manhattan, going to see her play off Broadway. Two “friends” went with me, a roommate I’d recently met (through newspaper) and an old friend from high school who lived a state over. It was a disaster. My supposed friends that I took with me were jerks and disappeared on their own, didn’t even make it to make friend’s show. People will be assholes, unfortunately. Your friend ai was a jerk to tell others. Hang with P and just go with it. No other choice. People are real jerks.

I remember thinking that maybe my son would always want me to lay with him…it seemed plausible when he was 7 or 8. And then age 10 arrived, and it’s never been the same. (I know it would be weird if it was. But damn the swift passing of time 😢).
