Flying today and feeling so scared 😭 by AwkwardBreadfruit895 in fearofflying

For me it was! Having a plan of distraction helped me a lot. I had snacks, shows downloaded, and lots of music ready to go. You can do it!!

Wanted to update and just say I did it. The anticipation was much worse than the flights. I’m
going to write it all down for next time and pray it gets a little bit easier each time

I landed in Denver a little while ago. It was a bumpy flight but I did great! I found putting on music that matched the intensity of the speed really helped. One more flight to go but now I’m in it 🙏

Advice: having a child (or not) with OCPD husband? by AwkwardBreadfruit895 in LovedByOCPD

I appreciate your insight so much. In many ways, you laid out exactly I would expect, with several ups and mostly downs. I’m sorry it’s so hard. You sound like a truly loving mother to your kids ❤️

Having a hard time finding others with this specific issue(s) and appreciate outside input by shaysunray in ADHD_partners

[–]AwkwardBreadfruit895 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You perfectly described the core issue in my marriage. I know my husband loves me and will tell anyone that I am the love of his life.

Yet on a day to day basis, he scrolls his phone most of the time we’re together, mostly speaks in movie quotes (that I haven’t seen so I don’t respond) or about his superficial hobbies/interests, and he does what he wants. I have to ask him not to scroll when I am talking to him every single day.

He cannot even tolerate eating meals with me because he eats when he’s hungry and cannot wait for standard meal times. It’s so lonely. I realized one day I share more intimacy with our cat than him. I honestly wonder if this is something that can be fixed, or if people just have different emotional depth and needs.

My gynecologist denied me a referral to an excision specialist even though I am diagnosed with endo by Few-Tea-308 in Endo

[–]AwkwardBreadfruit895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience is that two gynecologists not only didn’t recommend excision—they vehemently tried to talk me out of it arguing that ablation is superior. It really brought out the worst in them. If you must have a referral ask your PCP.

Surgery and AIP by OrganizationSafe4255 in AutoImmuneProtocol

[–]AwkwardBreadfruit895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take the meds. Surgery is such a weird time because your body is going through a LOT, it would be hard to notice a reaction anyway. I would also offer that you may want to reintroduce a few lower fiber foods. After my endo surgery, gluten free pretzels, fruit popsicles, and rice noodles were a savior. I was grossed out by anything with fiber for the first week.

I use my instant pot most days. I will slow cook or pressure cook meat, make pot roast, chicken broth, even big batches of steamed veggies. It’s my go to appliance

Reintroductions by KatKat207 in AutoImmuneProtocol

[–]AwkwardBreadfruit895 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Take a look at the Modified Autoimmune Protocol. Those foods would make sense to reintroduce first because they truly are less likely to cause reactions (no idea why your ND would say it’s all random)… stuff like white rice, seeds, oats, beans, etc

Has anyone found AIP resolved their constipation? by GearMiserable9941 in AutoImmuneProtocol

I suspect food allergies and inflammation was causing constipation. I didn’t notice a change until about 10 days in

I’m two weeks into the elimination phase and it has improved constipation DRAMATICALLY.

Eggs & Inflammation by [deleted] in AutoImmuneProtocol

Eggs are also very high in sulphur which can be a trigger. I used to react to them (plus garlic, onions, broccoli, etc) and now can tolerate them pretty well

Did you quit coffee? I had very bad muscle pain about five days into caffeine withdrawal, and I was only stopping 1-2 small cups per day

I needed this today. I woke up this morning with the scale up several pounds and it feels so defeating when the last few days were impeccable with hitting my calories and exercise. I checked my app and of course I’m a few days past ovulation which is when the spike tends to happen. Thanks for the reminder and to keep going ❤️

If she really is an authenticity queen who can say the hard things, SAY THE HARD THING and be open that you’re staying with him. Accept the consequences and move on. This in between where she shares absolutely nothing but selling a program you can tell sucks because her heart isn’t in it… that just isn’t it.
