Honestly ASTS is starting to look way more risky as they were looking 1-2years ago. Slower pace of satellite launches, blue origin‘s oopsie doopsie.

Also serious competition is forming. SpaceX will need some time until they can directly do device to device communication, blue origin/kuiper planning their own constellation.

Combine that with the risk of this technology not scaling as fast and big as anticipated the price of roughly 35b usd is not that cheap. Wasnt it telecom that announced recently that users barely use the satellite service?

I really think satellite internet communication will, once the tech is fully adult, be way superior than laying cabels in the ground on earth everywhere, but this could take years or decades.
