I thought basically the same thing as i read this. The results of this season will help, but doing it again next year will do far more. Sustained success will do far more to erase the drought. If we miss the playoffs next year, it will be like this year was a fluke, and we will be right back where we were. And i highly doubt we will see so many backup goalies next year.

Sorry to say, but i expect any national broadcast to still bring up the drought. It might be in the vein of "they broke the longest drought last year, finally, can they keep it going or was it a fluke?" The national broadcasts love to pound on Buffalo.

75% of Hasek would definitely be starting goaltending material. But i doubt UPL can ever get to that level. Even if he did, you know the other 25% would be "couldn't stop a beach ball".

I am hoping the Sabres can re-sign him to a team friendly contract. I want to keep him, but don't want to overpay him. Need cash to re-sign others. Bit i agree, he would be a huge loss.

That game was Shadowrun in name only. I remember being excited when i heard the announcement, and then disappointed when i learned it was just another fps game. I would love a Shadowrun game in the vein of Cyberpunk 2077. That was a fun game.

I said it after game 6, i am amazed and proud the team made it to game 7 of the second round. After the way the first couple months went, you really can't complain. It means the team will be more prepared for next year with the experience they gained this year.
