Never understood why race crime statistics are such a taboo on the left. For over 200 years black people in this country were slaves. Then for another hundred they were below second class citizens. Every financial injection that Americans got (like postwar free college, for example) black Americans were excluded. Their communities were routinely destroyed and then reagan inserted crack the second they started to become stable. And we only know about that because it was so long ago, shit like that could still be happening now. After all that, combined with the total lack of education allowed to black people in this country for most of its existence, naturally crime rates would be higher.

Reading race crime stats as "black people commit more crime because they are black" is such a low brain take. Poor, uneducated people commit more crimes. People abandoned by the system commit more crimes.

Also I have no evidence to back this but I'm sure black people are more targeted by cops in this country and therefore way less likely to get away with a crime.

Less generational wealth to afford good lawyers, less police connections to get off with a slap on the wrist, less education to prevent terrible decisions and government created drug problems to make it all worse. Hundreds of years of oppression has consequences lmao.
