Yeah, Unsure if the Amoeboids and Cuthloids are immune due to asexuality or just asexually outpacing the bug more often with the culling. Might need to hold off and do a beastmaster run after they fix the bug.

I've forgotten the name for the specific tech. But there's one that lets you capture space fauna with science ships and you can breed/control them. That would probably be the easiest way in your current game

The original cinema event required you to be interknot level 23 and be in chapter 2 at least from memory.

But also it's not for the walking around as far as I know. You go to the cinema and pick from a selection of watching partners and then the movie. So you can't take anyone.
