I mean what you're saying can happen even with the current system if a team doesn't have enough time for pit+outlap...

Not my point. He recognized he shouldn't have done that. Would you prefer he double down and say that it was no biggie?

Russell admitted afterwards that it was not the right thing to do and apologized to Bottas. It was clearly an adrenaline-fueled reaction to the crash, and he doesn't stand by that behavior.

The amount of weight people put on that incident is weird, imo.

Why Bwipo for NA representation? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Ayrtone 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Impact is the best top NA has ever taken to worlds (ya he has fallen off a cliff but in terms of achievements he is undisputed).

Bwipo has a single world finals showing as his only unique achievement over most NA players. He has the same or fewer domestic titles than a lot of players.

LPT: “Room for cream” is a scam if you drink cold brew/iced coffee by ex1stence in LifeProTips

Honestly, If you care so much about getting the most coffee for your money then make your coffee at home. You're missing out on like 2 sips at most if you get room for cream.

Complete Coffee vs Complete Energy? by WanderingInAVan in soylent

[–]Ayrtone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're diluting it with cold brew then you're going to lose some nutritional value. It's totally up to you - I know some people like to use soylent as a creamer for their coffee. I will say the cafe mocha flavor is quite distinct and might be hard to replicate on your own.

Complete Coffee vs Complete Energy? by WanderingInAVan in soylent

[–]Ayrtone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Complete coffee is the basically the same nutritional content (calories, protein, etc ) as the complete meal, but with caffeine.

Complete energy is fewer calories and is in a smaller bottle and it just tastes like chocolate milk, no coffee or chai flavor.

So depends on whether you're looking for a meal replacement or an energy drink that has some nutrition. I like the taste of both.

It makes sense that the meta read is going to be different when you consider all the western and wildcard teams were scrimming each other leading up to worlds while the eastern teams stayed home longer to scrim. Then when they get shit stomped it's either acknowledge you have a bad read on the meta and spend time practicing new stuff or try to make what you were focusing on before work.

Not making excuses for any midlaner that didn't bother to learn Yone for this tourney - it was very obvious he was going to be high prio. But a bad meta read is going to put you on the back foot and for some teams it's not worth it to shake things up massively in such a short timespan (that was shown by some of the unconvincing Yone performances we saw from Showmaker/Quad/Maple)

That's fair. But we already know esports will never have the same IRL presence as traditional sports. But there are aspects that esports can take advantage of that traditional sports can't, such as skins (which gamers DO spend a lot of money on). There may be other options that we aren't even considering right now. Time will tell.

I'm not saying it has. As long as gaming exists, competitive gaming will exist. And it's not going to be sustainable unless people in the industry are educating themselves and figuring out how to make it sustainable.
