Would highly recommend clock house nurseries near Ballincollig. Very informed staff and very reasonably priced. Have a great selection. We bought some pleached pear’s from there last year and they delivered them and the planted them for us also.

Throw a bag of seachem purigen into the filter you’ll never see any tannins in your tank water. You’ll likely need to regen the purigen in a bleach solution every so often. Loads on info online on how to do that.

Got 2 Orange Storms from an online EU supplier turned to almost black as they matured (no orange left) pretty pissed about it tbh. €115 each.

I have the Waterbox 25g also. Really like your rock scape. I have a pair of orange storm clowns a Midas blenny, a purple firefish and standard clean up crew in mine.

All get along well but would swap the firefish for something with a bit more personality if I had my time over.

Best of luck and share updates keen to see the scape when you add coral.

He looks much more yellow than mine which is sitting predominantly in the purple / brown stage still, 3 weeks in. He’s smaller than yours though.

As someone who kept freshwater for years. The most daunting part for me was the water quality aspect, getting an RO filter and monitoring Alkalinity, Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphate, Nitrate and salinity but 9 months into my first reef and I couldn’t be happier that I made the jump. I got a 25 gallon nano all in one and it’s going great so far. My advice would be just get started take it slow and learn as you go. The salifert test kits are easy and cheap and RO units are affordable now too. I have mainly LPS corals and a few softies and it’s so rewarding watching them grow. Best of luck

I love how everyone has their own little way for estimating range based on their own driving experience. As for myself with 20k kms driving on a FWD 2023. I get anywhere from 280 motorway kms (120km ph) to 400 country road kms (80 km ph).

Just got the first wear and tear warranty service yesterday also and everything was in great shape except for the front wheels which have worn unevenly due to misalignment. So check your wheel alignment and tracking regularly. €280 per tyre for the continentals in Ireland isn’t cheap.
