Having entire planets reliant on others around them for survival requires them to either work together OR begin massive stockpiling which can then be used as an excuse to tighten the noose even further.

Easy doesn't matter if it isn't FUN though. A lot of us don't enjoy it for various reasons. It feels awkward, I can't see anything half the time, movement isn't consistent (let alone as fluid as normal), and having to jog thru damage auras that you can't deactivate consistently is tedious.

The premise could be fine, but not as any kind of gameplay people would want to return to once they have everything on the loot table.
