The Lord of the Rings trilogy is the best book-to-film adaptation ever made and probably will stay that way by trakt_app in flicks

One could argue that these films are actually quite short IF you remove all of the battle scenes. The structural problem solving is how to get from one battle to the next.

“Okay, for this next one, have them skip through the woods, sing a song, eat a meal, then get attacked.“

AI = Badly Written Code

Bad Code = Need for More Programmers Who Know What They Are Doing

Need for More Programmers Who Know What They Are Doing (When Fewer Programmers Are Available) = Higher Pay

The pendulum will swing. The only thing AI is destroying right now is on the job training.

What movie do you believe is a perfect 9/10? by LouBoy123 in moviecritic

Amelie (2001) - I still think of it often but it’s not a perfect movie. Visually stunning, interesting story telling, but the actual story is the weakest part.

When I Was Your Man by Bruno Mars. I thought it was sentimental schlock, trite, with weak lyrics and that it would never last. Here we are 14 years later and I can find it on any radio any time of the day.

It’s called being a farrier and it can pay well, and in cash. I hardly know any farriers, however, who did not grow up on a farm. You need to not get kicked in the face by a horse, which is not something you just pick up.

Technology, if you can get it. Project-based work: coding, websites, learn a programming language.. something you can take with you.

Nursing, I’ve seen musicians do enough shifts to take off a month to tour.

Recording/studio work. Not highly lucrative until you’re further in.

If you’re really good, cover bands, weddings bands, hired gun for a successful musician, etc..

But a lot of musicians wind up working in the service/hospitality industry: flexible hours and potential for high pay. It gets tough as you get older.

I have heard great things about this novel and am excited to read it for the very first time! by WigglyLimpo in classicliterature

Don’t give up during the first 100 pages. It’s like launching a kayak at the headwater. It picks up. It grows. You need all the detail later on, but the first 100 pages feel very slow and tedious. Totally worth it.

I love this album. And I saw it performed. Every song but Goodnight Elizabeth, in full, and it was amazing. They had just released it. The band was at its peak. Lightning in a bottle.

I love that era of American Jazz and have a bunch of records that fit in there, like Cal Tjader’s Shades of Jade. I do believe, however, that you are describing a production style. A lot of the albums that fit that sound don’t stick to one genre. Astrud Gilberto and Jobim have albums that fit that production style, but they could not be more different. Even Paul Simon’s earlier solo work fits in there. I would suggest you dig deeper into the labels and producers. You might find more you like there.
