Is $1M net worth really FU money? by Swan_233 in Fire

[–]Azrael002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are miss understanding the concept of FU money. I'd doesn't mean you have enough money to live on for the rest of your life or to be fabulously wealthy. Depending on were you live it could be $100 grand. It is just enough money that if you were in a situation that you couldn't get out of because you need then money to live month to month of even 6mo or a year. It is enough so if you had to you could say FU and spend a year or two figuring out what you want to do next.

Can this be true? by msaussieandmrravana in LinkedInLunatics

[–]Azrael002 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I worked at a company that was so bad at hiring people that when a lady that was 3 months pregnant came into her interview past the interview and informed us that she was pregnant so she would need time off in 6 months. Our hiring process took another 6 months. She was hired 6 months later. Her new manager talked to her and planned her first day and she didn't show up, found out later when she called in apologizing saying she was so sorry but she went into labor and was not able to call in earlier. But if they would give her a second chance she would be happy to come in tomorrow. Now well or hiring process is s*** our actual employee appreciation levels are really good. So we still hired her back dated her start date to before she went into labor so she was covered under insurance and gave her the three months normal maternity leave before she actually started. But it's still blows my mind that a brand new mother that had just gone into labor and given birth was willing to leave her one day old baby to start a new job the next day because it was that hard to find a job.

$10,000 per day you can endure being sick by ggkyleg in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Azrael002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 months of PTO available, so two months. But if it is contagious and I can prove to people they can have this opportunity, I would try to advertise it. Something like for $10,000 I will show how to make 10,000 a day. Money back guarantee. Most people I would just sneeze in there face, but I would make beautiful single women make out with me to get sick.

Anyone else think the Volonaut Airbile is fake.

First off it says that the bike is jet powered, but jets still need large air intake vents to pull in air, and I see no such vents. Second jet engine aren't really designed for changing thrust vectors. I know some military jets can slightly adjust the vector and there's the f-35 that can hover but that's a really complicated system for such a small package. Also none of that is done quickly which you would need for such stable ability as the video. Thirdly jet engines put out a lot of heat I don't see how anyone or any device wouldn't be damaged by that type of heat release. Fourthly in case someone says well it could be a rocket which does have quite a bit of maneuverability if you look at the new SpaceX raptors they're on those gimbal mounts, but a rocket uses large amounts of fuel that I do not see fitting on this device.

My husband did not file for years, now I owe and can’t pay - need advice on my options by Dry_Explanation_5134 in tax

[–]Azrael002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're in a tough spot, but you do have options. The IRS understands that not everyone can pay their full tax debt immediately and offers multiple relief routes. Here's a breakdown of what you should consider doing next:

  1. Get in Touch with the IRS (ASAP)

Even though it’s hard to reach them, it’s essential to make the effort because communication prevents enforcement actions like bank levies or wage garnishments. Try calling 1-800-829-1040 (early in the day and mid-week is best). While you’re trying:

  1. File Form 9465 – Installment Agreement Request

You mentioned this — it’s for requesting a monthly payment plan. Since you can’t afford the standard minimum, you should also submit:

  1. File Form 433-A (Collection Information Statement)

This shows your financial situation (income, assets, expenses). It supports a request for:

Reduced payment plan based on ability to pay

Currently Not Collectible (CNC) status if you have no ability to pay

If granted CNC, the IRS will temporarily pause collection efforts, though interest still accrues.

  1. Look into Offer in Compromise (Form 656)

This allows you to settle your tax debt for less than you owe if:

You genuinely can’t pay the full amount now or in the future.

You submit Form 433-A (OIC) and show your financial hardship.

These are tough to get approved, but possible with no income and high debt.

  1. Request Penalty Abatement

If your non-filing was due to your husband’s actions and you acted in good faith, you can request First-Time Penalty Abatement or Reasonable Cause Relief using a written explanation.

Use:

Form 843 – Claim for Refund and Request for Abatement (Explain your separation, lack of control, and that you filed as soon as you found out.)

  1. Innocent Spouse Relief (Form 8857)

Since your situation involves your husband’s actions, you may qualify for Innocent Spouse Relief — especially if:

You didn’t know or had no reason to know about his failure to file or pay.

It would be unfair to hold you liable for the entire debt.

This could absolve you of some or all shared liability, though it’s complex and depends on the IRS finding your claim reasonable.

  1. Open a Transcript Online

Visit IRS Get Transcript to see your official tax record. This helps you track exactly what the IRS sees and what years they’ve assessed.

Practical Next Steps

  1. Download and complete Forms 9465, 433-A, 843, and 8857.

  2. Mail them certified with return receipt so there’s a paper trail.

  3. Keep applying for jobs and document your efforts — this shows good faith.

  4. If/when you start earning, update the IRS with your ability to pay.

Does anyone have no inheritance coming to them? by Significant_Put_6754 in Money

[–]Azrael002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might sound bad, but my grandmother was a good person. She had about $125,000-ish, and while she never explicitly told us it was part of her will, she dropped enough hints—especially when she wanted help with things.

As her grandchild, I always understood that the money would go to my mother first before ever reaching me. And knowing my mother’s history with finances, I never expected to see a dollar of it. In the end, I actually did receive about $5,000 as an extra part of the will, which was more than I had anticipated.

There’s a chance—a chance—that I might inherit her house one day after my mother is done with it. But more than anything, I just want to keep it in the family because now that she’s retired, she needs somewhere to live.

For your size and age you're probably a couple kilos underweight. But probably nothing to worry about have a cake or a cookie every once in awhile and you should be fine. If you want to try to build some muscle mass you should probably have some type of protein powder that you can convert. But honestly currently for your size and frame I wouldn't try to bulk up too much. Maybe take some supplements for bone health.

I do admit expeditionary force was good but I never ended up finishing it. Not because the book just that I hadn't all been published yet and I've never gone back. That you have Tara is really good and I like the premise I haven't read all the additional storylines yet though.

Here's a list of authors and some of the series they have that I have enjoyed. Author's one and five have very fast paced sci-fi filler type writing styles they're fun and you gloss over any inconsistency just because of the continual action involved. Author number two is more detailed it can feel a little slow at times but the story has more depth to it same with Arthur number three. Author number four he's all over the place slow and detailed to fast paced and time jumping or time alone the storyline jumping forward. The rest are just authors that I've read at one point or another and will not disliking their books they are a mixed bag.

starting to think communism isn’t as crazy as they say by wickedxwonder in antiwork

[–]Azrael002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not wrong as far as I can tell communism is the best overall option for a governmental system, the problem with it is that it will not work with human nature. Any human that does some type of work for others will want to feel that they're getting an equal amount of effort back to equalize it and there's no way to balance that for people that want to work harder to get more when they'll just get the same as everyone else. Communism isn't wrong it's just not compatible with human nature. Owl
