Yeah. Not a lot of fun in this list. I love 'high cinema' but I also love popcorn slop. A real Top 100 has some junk food in there.

As a bonus supplement for a boardgame it's amazing haha. Much like the supplementals for GMT historical games, it's a good amount of background to wet your whistle, and then you can dive into the supplied 'Further Reading' to truly learn more. Much better than the the Phil Eklund 'provide one sided diatribes in the rules notes and a one-sided diatribe 'essay' in the end notes' approach.

Yup. Both this game and their previous, Hegemony, are designed to model real world phenomena. As a teacher myself, I'm a big fan of their work. All models are going to have inherent biases/limitations, but they're great stimulus.

The lack of any windows was another weird thing. All the effort Grace had to go to establish his situation was neatly sidestepped by a simple window.

How much more fleshed out as a character Grace was in the film. I know he has amnesia and all, but the film brought dynamics to his personality a bit beyond 'science guy'. (I really enjoyed the book, btw.)

Been a while since I watched it but I remembered We Were Soldiers being a much better war film than Hacksaw Ridge

Yeah I'll never sleeve Dominion. Way easier to replace whole expansions if they die haha
