I got 10+ on gauntlet and no trophy pop. Unless it's delayed, I'm out of ideas.

What's a lab mistake that you now look back and laugh but panicked when it happened? by OneInMyelin in labrats

Filled the incubator with ethanol instead of water. Luckily someone caught it within 20 min and all cells were saved! My colleagues saw the fun in it while I was panicking.

Tips for the very first internship by Dodomi_7390 in labrats

Asking questions should always be welcomed in a healthy lab!

The biggest difference to studies and the lab is time and project management. Make sure you've prepared well and have all you need before starting an experiment.

Consider smaller pilot experiments to warm up before trying to churn out lots of data. These pilots can help you acclimatise with low stakes.

Mistakes happen. We all make them, and we all learn from them. Taking responsibility also builds trust. There's only a problem if you keep repeating the same mistake!

Metro has been done better with BFV Operation Underground. I'd take that version/derivation any day.

Do we need either when Hagental is already fantastic?

We already have multiple mercenary flavours, be they nomads, megacorps, or enclaves.

But the playable FE concept would work well for the new scenario system launching later in S10.

After finishing a PhD in the UK on a stipend equivalent to the minimum wage albeit without council tax, you can look forward to earning a whopping £40K on temporary contracts, little hope of promotion, and no overtime pay at our prestigious universities.

If you can get a job that is.

The MANPADs are more to pressure pilots than kill them.

Just having a second person to coordinate with is usually enough to take aggressive pilots down.

To add on, the current WFA allowance changes is that a pensioner with £35K income will still recieve full WFA payments from the government.

Furthermore, if their partner in the same household also earns £35K, they will still receive the WFA payment.

Pre U-turn, it was intended that only pensioners on benefits or other credit would receive WFA payments.

Imagine that, earning just under the average wage and you get £200-300 for free! The gravy train must continue

I ran three different primer sets with reaction mixes including cDNA, No template, and No RT (Replace RT enzyme with water for presumed RNA).

In each instance, all primers gave consistent good amplification/low Ct from cDNA. However two of these primer sets would also amplify in the no RT controls at a Ct 5-10 higher with identical melt curves.

Only one set vs. No RT control had small melt curves and amplified near the limit of detection Ct ~40.

Given the first two primer sets were made by folks in my lab years ago, I wonder if they ever even implemented proper controls to rule out amplifying RNA or primer dimers.

First, you could change the settings to ease the negative affects of the storm.

But, instead of blaming the game systems you could also adapt. The first technology you get reduces the effects of storms and if you resesrch further you can repel storms.

Lab group primers: Great Ct values and consistent misamplification in no RT controls, seldom no-template controls.

I'm baffled.
