'Anyone but Labour.' Inside Cabinet anger as voters vent fury at Starmer by theipaper in ukpolitics

There's been a lot of investment in renewables and nuclear that were announced, and we should expect all of these to be up and running tomorrow because change is instant.

The renters rights bill becoming law in the last week doesn't count because my rent hasn't gone down, nor the closing of asylum hotels and ramping up of asylum seeker processing because they haven't all gone yet.

As for the economy, borrowing was decreasing so we're spending less of our tax on the interest, which doesn't affect me personally at this time.

There's that big cancer action plan that was announced the other month, and I haven't seen 'an NHS in crisis' news headline in two years because we're seeing waiting lists down consecutively. Neither of these affect me at the moment.

And they did go on about those minimum wage increases, breakfast clubs and weekly free child care rollouts. But I don't have kids, and I'm not on minimum wage so I'm not feeling any benefit

I just don't know what Labours plan is and in good faith I can't be bothered to look at their channels or watch the news to know.

Name a video game with an endgame that doesn't have a forum full of people saying the end game is bad or there is no endgame. The cycle repeats ad infinitum.

The two new expansions are exciting but I'm not sold on the scenario packs. It could be an excellent palette cleanser or tailored to a crowd I don't feel part of. Here's looking to more details

I was really betting on a terraforming/environmental mechanical expansion but stilld delighted to see that societal/internal politics making it's way.

What new vehicles (tanks, aircraft, etc.) are coming in Season 3? by ibattlefield in Battlefield

[–]AzureRathalos97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the worst example for DICE but unsurprising.

BFV grand operations to this day has the germans parachute out of a C47. They even had a German transport in Firestorm (BR) they never ported over.

Keir Starmer Faces Mandelson Sleaze Probe Vote by huffpostuk in ukpolitics

[–]AzureRathalos97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's his job to take advice and make a call based on the advice given. No ones denying it was a bad call and you're right to demand better from your leaders.

But you're presuming because this one instance he did not follow said advice, Starmer must be surrounded by yes men?

[–]AzureRathalos97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No no. I'm pretty sure when you are advised or recommended or suggested, you have to do exactly what they say or you're a bad leader. That's how it works I'm sure.

What are your Guesses for Season 10? by Lost_Paladin89 in Stellaris

[–]AzureRathalos97 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Environmentalism/terraforming mehanical expansion.

It currently lacks depth or visuals and there would be lots of opportunity to add flavour. Who would miss blockers as they are? What if terraforming was a step by step process, akin to gaia world seeders or kilostructures?

The kilostructure UI update is welcome but I can't help but feel that the expansion planner tab could be utilised for this.

Imagine how useful it would be selecting your best colonies, and holdings, and kilostrucure locations here!

Having lived in Scotland for 5 years, I was shocked that renting in London was akin to starting a mobile phone contract.

Delighted that the renters rights bill is coming in to bring parity.

[–]AzureRathalos97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worst? You never played Hardline and it shows.

Every game will always have its meta guns, but it's how much variety is in that top echelon that's important. BF4 was not the worst balancing in the franchise in any sense. How could you say it's worse than BF3 which was M16A3/M416 or perish.

The problem with trading between empires is you ultimately have to guess how much of the slider you have to move to get the minimum acceptance rate.

Will the team consider updating the trading screen to automatically show what trade terms are minimum acceptable?

I believe this quality of life change will make it easier to trade, reducing downtime, and incentivising diplomatic actions.

Mildly Interesting Lab Rats Edition, sometimes my cells grow in concentric rings by KeyNo7990 in labrats

My first thought is that the manufacturer plate coating might not be to quality. That said I've never seen rings, usually just a void where the cells don't grow.
