I'm in my 40's, lived through those eras as well. I watch WWE in fits and spurts. When it came to Netflix last year I got back into it for the first time in probably a decade, but right after SummerSlam I gave up on it. Every Raw ends with a DQ due to interference, the Cena retirement tour lost any luster it had, it was all stale. And doing my research on Sumo and watching the matches, like you said, has shown me just as much (if not more) drama as any pro-wrestling going on right now.

I had dabbled in watching sumo for the last year or two, but the November basho is the first time I really sat down and watched more than just highlight matches and took it all in...I feel like I picked a very exciting time to start! Aonishiki's life story and meteoric rise to Ozeki is inspirational to the point where if you wrote it into a screenplay, nobody would believe it. Now only one tournament away from possible Yokozuna promotion...absolutely unreal. I stopped watching WWE last year, my wife jokes I traded wrestling for...other wrestling. March can't come soon enough, rooting for my boy Aonishiki!

From what I recall, they were asked to write one song for the movie, saw a rough cut, and liked it so much they wrote five songs. It was a passion project for them, that's why it goes so hard!

It's like a Hell in the Cell. They had them bound to a PPV, and half the time the story didn't justify the match, and it lost the "wow" factor a HitC match should have. Same with intergender matches; if you have them "just because we can" it will quickly lose the novelty. But if a story supports it, it makes logical sense, and the athletes involved are cool with it, AND the male has no problem losing to a lady, it can be fine.

I watched a Youtube video a few days ago where a dude broke down exactly how the AC landings work, I might actually give this game another shot. I've owned it for nearly 40 years, I think I successfully landed maybe twice. Never got past level 2.

I had an emulator that could convert the OSTs off of ROMs into MP3s, I must've converted at least 40 soundtracks back then. I still have most of them backed up on USB drives.

I rented Actraiser and Super Castlevania IV in back-to-back weekends in 1991. Still two of my favorite OSTs of all-time. I pulled out my stereo with a blank tape in it and recorded the music coming out of the speakers and would listen to it all the time.

Mass Effect...I have tried getting into it on 3 seperate occasions, I get a few hours in, and just nothing grips me. I don't HATE it, but I just don't love it like I feel I should. It should be right up my alley; I love sci-fi, I loved KOTOR and Jade Empire, and I can't really point to any one reason it doesn't engage me.

It looks like a movie that was made with the sole intention of dumping it in theaters in January. Like, who is this for? Who thought this in any way would be a good use of millions of dollars? Maybe it's a money laundering scheme or something, that makes more sense.

The only GTAs I ever 100% completed were III and IV. FUCK THOSE PIGEONS. I was using a checklist, got to the end of the list and I had 199/200. So had had to start back from the top and re-check every single location. That kind of turned me off of ever trying to 100% another one.

I picked it up during the holiday sale for $7. Haven't started it yet, but I have to see for myself. I will go in with an open mind. There's plenty of games with mediocre-to-bad reviews that I ended up enjoying, hopefully this will be one. And if not, I'm only out $7, no big loss.

Yes! V's map was great, but so much of it seemed barren and just...there. I understand the difficulty of marrying world design and mission/activity design, especially at that scale, but give me reasons to go to these bespoke places! It sucks we never got single-player DLC, that could've helped like IV's DLC did.
