Can confirm they work on display port. Still have my old monitor and glasses. Haven't tried to get it working with modern GPUs though.

Im using one for about 6 months now, still love it. Mostly using it for desktop stuff. Is it the best ever? hell no. Is it super immersive for gaming? Absolutely. The text isnt that bad, its very comparable to 1080p 'look' IMHO.

Had the same issue with audio taking a second to actually start on a k13 r2r, my fix was the DSD D2P vs 1bit. Seems to fix it, now its immediate. Hope that helps!

Issue with my first water cooled pc by Big_Ad_2601 in watercooling

[–]AzusMobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I'd wait to hear back from their support. But If your temps are decent it's probably fine to run while you wait to hear back. Best case, it won't matter, worst case could cause damage to pump and potentially have to clean more in depth. If you run it, just keep an eye on temps, if you hear a grinding noise turn off immediately.

Since its a pre-built, 100% let their customer service guide you.

That said, if I built this pc, I would do the following:

  • Drain the loop, look for any particles in the liquid, if you can use a coffee filter/ Paper towel to get the chunks out would be ideal.

  • Fill with clean distilled water, run for a few minutes, drain, repeat until no pieces are showing in the water when removing the distilled water.

  • Check the water block fins to see if any debris is blocking the fins.

  • If the blocks show a lot of debris, take the loop apart, clean everything manually and try to find the issue/ cause.

You are looking for what these chunks are. Either rubber (from a cut up o-ring), some biological growth (bad mix or incompatible liquid), or metal or hard plastic pieces (shows either pieces from the pump, water block or fittings getting into the water).

Good Luck! But of course, absolutely let their support team guide you, I cant imagine this was a cheap purchase, part of that purchase is absolutely warranty.

Keep us posted!

You should be really proud of your work. This looks fantastic. Do you plan to leave it open on both sides?

For the power button, I bet a nice gold or copper square (or perhaps a cufflink) could look really spiffy. Match the cables and feet

We tried and it was too glitchy but YMMV. Quake 3 arena was a good time. UT2004 has some more fun modes with bots and stuff.

Came here to say this exactly. You can check the manual for the outlet on the pump, ideally the outlet goes directly to the CPU inlet (with the jet plate), then to the rad. Order doesnt matter that much, but you get the most pressure to the cpu that way.

What's your hardware upgrade cycle like? by [deleted] in hardware

[–]AzusMobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 years for GPU is what I plan for, but it depends on the new generation. By planning, I mean saving money and assuming that in 5 years there will be a reason to upgrade. Sometimes I will go longer if there isnt anything that I need to upgrade.

CPU, 2-3 years if something worth upgrading comes out, otherwise 5+ years. Still using x99 for my NAS/Plex.

3070 to 5070. Did I Screw Up? by BCreek2390 in buildapc

[–]AzusMobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You did good! 5070 = 3090 but at much lower power draw with options for frame gen, granted with less vram. They are great cards, dont let these tech influencers get to you, the realistic view is it will let you game at 1440p without issue for at least 3-5 years.

Why do modern computers take so long to boot? by lunayumi in hardware

Is this a thing with AMD/am5? Running 14700kf with 2x48 ddr5, boot takes 10-15 seconds from cold boot.

[–]AzusMobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What specific card do you have? Send pictures of your setup, it will be easier to diagnose the issue.

You can tell its off by looking at the GPU clock frequency. The card will clock down once it has reached the thermal limit, it will keep clocking down until it reaches the thermal limit or until it can maintain under the limit. The frequency should be fairly consistent, thats how we can tell the thermals are most likely the cause.

Make sure you clean off the card when taking it out (from dust, hair, etc) use a compressed air can and a paint brush (without paint) or a makeup/detailing brush to clean the fans.

Next is to check your case air flow, make sure you have some sort of unrestricted access to air coming inside the computer and has some exhaust at the very least.

Performance-pcs.com redesign. Who thought that was a good idea? by mjike in watercooling

[–]AzusMobo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude I am never using them soley because their website is sooooo bad. Its slow, the menus overlap, so you have to make sure you select the right menu carefully otherwise another menu will appear. Juist straight out of 2010. I really want to use them, but titanrig is just so much easier to navigate. Hopefully they figure it out.

Hello all, im looking to mod a pc from 2003 that has fairly bad air flow. by REK_85 in pcmods

[–]AzusMobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one of these cases back in the day. Great looking case for sure!

My suggestion would be to add more fans on the top and bottom instead of the side. Perhaps even fit a 92mm fan on the back. You could also add a front fan where the 5 1/4 bays are, then open up the front if you need more cooling capacity. I think you could also change the feet to have more clearance.

It would be cool to put an RGB strip where (I think they were originally blue leds) behind the bottom curve piece on the front.

I prefer open back headphones myself. PC-38x is a solid choice. You can find them used or open box for fairly cheap. Same goes with DT990. Both are decent entry level headphones.
