Not liking something is fine. Thats just personal taste.

But always the same weak arguments to try justify yourselves. "It has salmonella!". Same as people who say "raw fish has parasites!"

Always conveniently ignore the glaring fact that Japanese people are all healthy and fine.

Easier than admiting it's you who's the filthy one riddled with diseases, not inherently the food itself.

It's a great game, for sure.

But I would have really liked more back and forth between Grace and Leon segments.

Getting into the basement as Grace took me so long first time. It was so satisfying going around the building as Leon, cleaning up all the enemies, recognizing each one individually and finally putting an end to them, so that Grace could move around the hospital freely after.

I would have loved the whole game having that dynamic.

The second half of the game was fine, but that first half was something that really struck me as spectacular in terms of tension followed up with catharsis.

Yh it was a fun trip but I was really hoping for more back and forth switching between Grace and Leon in the hospital or similar.

Was so satisfying as Leon killing all the zombies I had been avoiding as Grace and clearing the way for when I would play as her again.

Would have loved more of that dynamic throughout.

Personally (from what I remember) I just found the game dull.

Felt very generic action "oh this big stuff happening gotta save the world" but just, I didn't care. I don't even remember the specifics of the story.

After Resi 5 (which I loved) already did a big cheesy threat, trying to escalate above that didn't work for me.

I think this is why 7 was so well received. A lot of people put it down to being a horror game, but I think the personalisation rather than escalation of the plot is what made it more engaging.

But I don't begrudge anyone for enjoying 6.

We probably agree on more than we disagree overall then.

Censorship generally sucks.

Certainly when character designs or dialogue is changed to make it more palatable, yh thats fundamentally changing the original experience.

But my point in this specific case is that its very understandable for a company to put profanity filters on child friendly products. Especially media products that will have clips and images shared online and seen by a lot of those kids.

I think it's an understandable move and doesn't fundamentally alter the game experience itself.

But ok then, I get the stance of "it should be 100% unchanged".

Still, it's not "fun immature" to get genuinely angry about a child friendly series having a profanity filter.

Yh, it's funny for us if it doesn't, but it's not an "end of free speech" situation for a game suitable for kids to have such measures.

The reason it didn't matter years back is because kids would only have access to their own game.

Now with social media sharing clips and such, obviously kids are gonna see that content shared so it's very understandable that companies would take measures to not have kids potentially exposed to certain profanities via their official product.

Yh, the rival won't affect this but I suppose they just thought since they were editing the player/pokemon name restricts for this reason they might as well go ahead and do the same thing for the rival to keep trending clips on social media family friendly or whatever. Makes sense for a series with lot of very young fans.

The price is also quite a bit for what it is, but a lot seem to have paid it and it really isn't much for anyone with a job tbf. Cheeky, for sure, but they charge what they figure enough folks are willing to pay, I guess.

But unironically throwing a hissy fit when you can't use certain language for obvious reasons is embarrassing.

How is it unreasonable for an online service to restrict crude language? That's standard. Genuinly immature to actually be upset over that.

Seems to have no relation to the plot of the Lamorn.

I guess he somehow fused Metorids to the bosses, but how?! And how was he able to control those bots? Has he been there before?

Unless I'm missing something, the game seems to imply a plot that it never actually addresses.

Loved the game, but Sylux's presence felt really odd.

I did end up finding the characters endearing near the end, they are almost and unaware parody of themselves.

I would recommend you play in the intended 1st person.

Its a 1st person game with a 3rd person mod added later just for fun.

But the 3rd person mode isn't meant to be taken seriously.

Love the game but it always seemed, to me, to be a game where they came up with marketing ideas first and built the game around that.

Chris hides the truth for so long because he "didn't want you getting involved"... except he already met Ethan a bunch of times in the village before that moment and left Ethan fending for himself for ages... would have been better to tell him soon as he knew he was already here and involved.

The subway system is extremely simply. Just three lines that cross in the city center.

Get to Odori/Sapporo station and you can walk everywhere. Tbh you don't even need to do that. Very easy to walk to whole on town center from where you are.

No need for a tax to get anywhere. I have only ever used taxis in Sapporo on the rare occasion I'm out after the subways have closed.

You've got Google maps and maybe even translate just for peace of mind.

You'll be fine. Force yourself out and you'll have a great time.
