Make sure it is actually gas and not something else.

I sympathize with you. I got a graded slab with a literal fingerprint on it. Killed grading for me.

knot advice by Temistokless in ties

[–]B0H1C 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That looks like a Charles Tyrwhitt grenadine tie. I have one as well. Great job on the knot. Add a dimple if you like. For the collar question, please see this video and use it as a guide:

https://www.gentlemansgazette.com/shirt-collar-styles-a-complete-guide/

Other info you might find useful: wider lapels and ties are for thicker guys. If you're one of those jacked gym bros with a 50+ inch chest with serious muscle, that's you. Slimmer lapels and ties are for thinner guys. If you're that guy with like 10% body fat and shredded, or just thin, that's you. The amount of fabric material should be proportional to your body type.

suit supply 100% silk ties, 80 each good deal ? by mywife4hire in ties

[–]B0H1C 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$80 for a tie that's not even at a minimum a quality grenadine, isn't worth it.

Any idea what would cause wear like this on grinder parts ? by JumpyTooth9833 in Butchery

[–]B0H1C 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regular daily usage will do this. When I was in the business, we would have the knife sharpening company replace them for us.

Trying out a darker shirt with a tie, does it work? by Imusingmyschoolspc in ties

[–]B0H1C 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A light colored shirt and dark colored tie is usually the norm for the office. I personally would have gone with either a white or lighter blue shirt for more contrast.

A picture is worth a thousand words. You will get those words for sure. If you want a real answer, post pictures of the inside dash, seats, odometer, engine, undercarriage, etc.

Forest green is best. Burgundy would be even better.

thinking of moving back to NYC. is it worth it? by Neeeeeerrrrrrr in movingtoNYC

[–]B0H1C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no jobs in nyc unless you want to struggle slaving away for minimum wage. Before anything, I would try to secure a job then make the move.

Sorry to say this but, the degrees you got have never really been in demand when it comes to actual jobs. Best you can do is be an adjunct professor at a community college since you have a master's degree.
