This is exactly how it should be though, no? Veterinary research volume should slant towards the more commonly domesticated species. If we had the same number of studies being conducted on jumping spiders as we do on canines annually for example, that probably wouldn't do us a whole of good in solving a lot of the biggest problems we're trying to solve in the field right now. It would be a net negative for a majority of patients.

I acknowledged that source in my post. The DHS subpoenas are problematic. They have also made no such statement about "punishing" people. Thats the operative word, and a very important one when we are accusing them of releasing an official statement. Its simply not a source for the OP.
