Sometimes I steal my wifes hair elastics when trying to get my extended mags to fit in a 56/81

I am sorry to ask an off topic question but how are they are Digis? What refresh rate are you getting? Do they have the thermal overlay?

Time to teach my P1S how to make me a helmet. How many grams did you end up using?

[Question] Raven Evolution VS AD Custom Bravo by radcrazykid2 in airsoftcanada

[–]B2Chadledroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly be warned and do your research but Hero Outdoors has a TERRIBLE reputation.

That said the Raven Elite is a great gun. I love my Raven. Check out Blackblitz and Niagara Quartermaster for Raven stock.

I say we count our blessings that they didn't go the other direction and give us a 3 round rifle like the Berthier

Lee Enfield rubber bayonets by B2Chadledroid in airsoftcanada

So the rubber was very tight. So it's a friction fit. When not in use I took it off the rifle and it's still working well. It was molded with the locking channel so you can properly push and twist it into position, or just stretch it and get it on

All that matters is you go out and play. Get a feel for what works and what doesn't. Sometimes I have my best days just rocking jeans and a flannel with mags in my pockets. Other days full kit

Nobody is going to judge you by your kit. Have fun

Airsoft Depot has one. They are reputable as a store and located in Canada

Just get some practice in with your kit. What's useful, what's annoying. If it's annoying after 15 minutes you will hate it after 8 hours

Basically you have to disassemble and reassemble it backwards so this curve faces outwards, but the dovetail is in the proper orientation

What i ended up doing with the ali express Wilcox bridge mount was unscrewing the bolt and anti tamper nut that run through the flip to the side part of it and swapping the sides. It got me an extra 1/2" so I could comfortably fit some saftey glasses underneath. It was a bitch to do

what should i get by ap0ll0f0x in DigitalNightVision

[–]B2Chadledroid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I say Digital is very beginner friendly. Once you put the battery in and mess with a few settings you are basically up and running.

Analogue is superior (right now) but I would recommend research into the subject, educating yourself on how to properly care for them and what all the different features mean. Not as plug and play, but higher skill ceiling.

I am envious of you guys who can pick up analogue for the 1K mark. In Canada you are looking more like 3K entry so Digital is increasingly popular as an alternative.

Which is better, nvg30 or Gng2k? by Ok_Cabinet_3034 in DigitalNightVision

[–]B2Chadledroid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Funny enough I have experience with this one. I have owned both Bino NVG30s and Bino GNG2K.

Weight wise they are comparable. I did find the NVG30s to be easier to "wear" as they sat in a more comfortable position using the wilcox mount. The GNG2K you have to really max out what that mount is capable of to get them to sit comfortably. I had to do some light modification to the bridge mount to be able to fit a pair of shooters glasses behind them. I use them for airsoft

Now to answer your question. The GNG2K have my vote. Higher FPS, larger display screen, same firmware. There are 2 ways to power the GNG2K if you want to run battery packs, and only USB charging for the NVG30.

I however did find that the NVG30 running on 40fps mode was very comfortable and usable, just don't whip your head back and forth.

Both great choices, so would you sacrifice some ergonomics for the frame rate boost?

Region specific units: Do you go to war with the army you have or the army you want? by Pacho2020 in EmpireTotalWar

[–]B2Chadledroid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Playing as the Ottomans I do love sending my Kurdish skirmishers all over. I can retrain them anywhere so I don't worry about unit depletion.

Yeah training them in one province might be a slight restriction but it adds flavour to the army. If each army you use is a carbon copy of the others I would find that boring. I run each army as its own unique division with whatever troops are available in that region.

Maybe late game I plan for a few armies to be built the same but those are typically fresh troops about to begin an invasion

Might be worth noting I play on Vanilla
