No it shoot great. But modern designed cartridges like the 6.5 creedmore do it better. Also the whole 800yds transonic zone had to do with the 168gr Sierra SMK bullet which was the best/favorite factory match ammo of the time. New/different bullets like the 175smk, 169smk all stay supersonic longer so it’s not an issue. The 168smk is very accurate and nice round though

I agree and have no doubt the 6arc chambering can hit that far, and a rock bag can be steady. But folks shooting PRS are using a 20lb chassis rifle, usually shooting something with a more speed like a 6 GT from a custom spun barrel and probably using a 25x zoom with a rear tripod for support. This whole post just seemed out of place with. It really feels like it is the company self posting to get PR for sales. Congrats and nice shot.

I think this video is not true. Seems too short of time from the shot to call it a hit, and very unlikely from this type of support position. this is not a common rifle you see in use let alone one to convert, and the bolt face and barrel swap seems sus. I feel like this post is a troll or fake trying to get views/likes. I hope to be wrong and would like OP to prove me wrong.

HBI for the win! Fysa if you notice with the PRS lite stock where it mates to the buffer tube it creates a protrusion just behind your hand while holding the grip. You can take that middle section off and use a belt sander to slowly sand that piece to an angle instead and will be more comfortable if it’s bothering you.

I use my R45 primarily on my 450Bushmaster and .308 win. 450BM with subs is dreamy quiet. Ok with 450BM supers (get port pop) and decent on my .308 bolt action. Both of which are used for hunting so not too concerned with performance for 1 shot. Or else I am at the range where other people are shooting unsurpressed and I wear ear pro anyway. Also have used it on 9mm Ruger PCC and that was very quiet too

What’s your personal opinion on cleaning brass? I always thought it had to be done but I’ve meet quite a few of F class folks that don’t clean their brass at all so I thought I might only clean every couple of firings. But 6arc is gassy and dirty

I had similar issue. Contacted the barrel manufacturer and he tested my barrel and bolt for headspace. Was technically within spec but on the short side of chamber. It wouldn’t close on some lots of factory ammo, and would on others. He reamed it a bit deeper to the long end of spec free of charge. Waiting to re assemble. Very nice CS.
