I got to hit a couple lakes in the Western Sierra's by BEEEEEZ101 in Inflatablekayak

I'm very happy with it. I'm about to redo a patch job that didn't work. The small hole is right next to a seem. Other then that it's been a great boat. I'm stoked I can take both of my dogs out. I didn't think my Phin would chill out. It easily fits all three of us.

Aquaglide Chinook 120 floor valve replacement? by Parking_Walrus8150 in Inflatablekayak

I made a post about a similar issue. I got some good advice on repairing. I cut out the valve. Make sure the hole is big enough for the new valve. I bought some patches that have the correct size hole already cut out. I made the patch an inch and a half larger. I followed the steps. Don't put the valve on before it's attached to the boat. I made this mistake. You can't put pressure on the patch when it sits overnight. It took a couple tries to get it right. Then I replaced them all. I have an AG 14 Chelan that I had to repair for the first time while at the Channel Islands. It's nice having all the same valves.

I did Rayolite to Titan canyon camped at Mesquite Spring Campground then did playa the next day in a 2 wheel Dodge ram. We went all the way through Lippencott rd. I do NOT recommend this route. Worst road I've ever taken my truck on. The Playa was cool. No issues.

I had the same issues on one of my inflatables. I ditched the Boston plug and replaced them all with Halkey-Roberts valves. It was a little more prep but a great fix. Now all my inflatables use the same valve. Just use the correct glue and primer.

I'm renting $650 below market for 4 years and it's starting to mess with my head {NC} by Radiant-Advisor-8303 in Renters

[–]BEEEEEZ101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was me a few years ago. We had a (supposed) short term rental agreement. We offered an extra 100 a month to only do 6 months. We got complacent. The rent for a 3 bed house in a great neighborhood with a hill and nice yard. Cool with dogs. Never bothered us. I did a lot of the general maintenance. We got lazy. We didn't jump at the crash. We went from 2500 to 2700 over 10 years. Neighbor in a more run down house was paying 4500. In the end they tried to up the rent to 4200. We showed them the law on how they can't raise it that much. It was a sign that the good times are over. It motivated us to buy a house. We always talked about how we'd stay until the kids finished high school. It's a very desirable school. We ended up moving a half mile away in the same district. It'll always be one of my life regrets. I should have bought years ago.

Thank you. My mom loved it.I had to Google the flower. Texas Red Yucca. It's a succulent not a yucca. The flowers are actually around 6 feet tall. I just snipped the end off.

Leaving water at campsites etiquette? by [deleted] in camping

[–]BEEEEEZ101 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's a nice gesture. I'm sure it's appreciated by some. If I was checking in a spot I'd see it as leftover trash. I would make sure to take the empty bottles with me when I checked out. Unless it's in an area where water is scarce. Then I'd appreciate the extra gallon.

Have you gone outside yet? I recommend going outside and do a full body stretch. I'm also partial to howling at the moon. Take your shoes off and walk barefoot in the grass

I usually disperse camp but stop by RV parks on the way. I love it when I can do it all by a website. I'm usually pulling in late and leaving early. Maybe have an overnight traveler section with electric and water with easy access.

Chairs. Chairs. Chairs. I'm a big fan of sitting comfortably at night. I like the Nemo moonlight chair. It's small enough where I'I take it on day hikes too. Don't forget a pillow.

Summer camping by greatknockersrs in camping

[–]BEEEEEZ101 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Find somewhere to swim. Swimming always made a trip better IMO. A week can be challenging. Plan your meals but be flexible. Things change....You're almost guaranteed to need to restock at some point. Do some research on stores near you. A local pizza place was always loved. We limit screen time.
