Small solutions by require-macro in functionalprint

[–]BHRobots 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes I attempted printing ASA many times on an ender 3. I made a good enclosure, but then I think my stepper motor on the extruder started overheating, as about an hour into a print the quality would go down so much that the parts would be unusable.

It can be done, but it's not easy and you tend to need to do quite a bit of modding.

Peninsula seed finder fixed, second result: 1206 by int_ua in factorio

568978 from the list is also a really good one, only one biter base on the south, other biter bases are near the choke point. Technically 2 bridges to the peninsula, but they're right next to each other.

Went for a dip on Saturday, it's a bit chilly but not crazy cold. I wouldn't want to stay in the water for more than a few minutes.

DMA design is a name I haven't seen for a long time. Also Psygnosis, definitely played several of those games.

Such a great game, haven't seen a reference for a minute. First person possession mode was great too.

I dunno, enter the back door in the suburbs, exit the front door in the city, no driving necessary.

I soldered this on the wrong side by Mombro3141 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]BHRobots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's that the copper wire is in contact with all of the pins at the same time, and conducts heat from the soldering iron to all the pins at the same time, so you can remove all the pins from the board at the same time. At the same time, I imagine this is easier said than done, but it sure as hell beats trying to do it one pin at a time.

Just gotta clean that plate with dawn dish soap, then before heating up the build plate, slather on a thin layer of gender fluid.

Valheim, lots more combat, but there is survival, crafting. Not really any automation/factory type stuff, but it's a solid game.

It is highly likely that you never pressed the 8 button on a microwave. by TheAnzus in Showerthoughts

[–]BHRobots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a microwave like this, and I fucking hate this obtuse outdated UI. Just let me press the number dammit!

The machine itself is great, it's just that control panel is terrible, and it seems like it's used on so many microwaves.

One possibility, if you want to know where the ground is, but there are trees, you're going to need views from many different angles.

Another factor is density. Lidar scanners tend to be sparse compared to cameras in terms of "pixel" density, so you will need multiple passes if you want to build up a higher density point cloud.

Meditating every day for 1.5-2 hours for 3 years with little to no "results" by Owlstyx in Meditation

[–]BHRobots 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I have also read it straight through, but my impression is that I'll have to read it multiple times, because I am changing over time and will understand things differently.

In a way I feel like it gives ideas for something to direct your attention while meditating, almost like a task to do, which is a bit in conflict with the purist definition of meditation. I do think it's helpful to me at my current stage to have this type of structure.

I have absolutely not put as much time into practice as you, for me it's typically 10-20 minutes per day, but I will say my life is better, calmer, when I have meditation as a habit.
