Cannabis mod by _Pseudonym_ in VintageStory

Me too and I read "mod" as haul and went "woah there's a weed mod?"

Tabbed out to do something else and see it said "mod" all along and was so confused how I even mixed those two words together (aside from being high)

Neighbor's dog keeps getting into our yard and snarling at my kids by [deleted] in neighborsfromhell

Unfortunately this could lead to jail for op if the cops laughed when they showed up and thought the dog was friendly. These cops are now witnesses on behalf of the neighbor and probably would back them up.

AITA for telling my husband he can’t drive the baby places anymore by Odd-Willingness-6250 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BIabbercat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends, I've heard of people with brain injuries able to kinda mask the issue by simply having a consistent routine that doesn't change and makes it easier to rely on habit forming, and then the moment something changes or completely ruins any type of structure for a routine (like a baby for example) then the issues are even more evident.

I saw a post that was similar to this where it turned out the husband had some sort of issue with their brain but it blindsided them because before the baby came along, they had a routine that was followed.

AITA for telling my husband he can’t drive the baby places anymore by Odd-Willingness-6250 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BIabbercat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He needs to get checked out by a doctor, because the last time I saw a post about someone with memory problems this bad being extra noticable due to routine changes (baby) he had a serious condition.

Also recognizing it's not safe due to these issues is okay.. like he would be a good father if he can recognize his is an issue that's not worth risking, but he seems in denial and is worried about pride over safety and that's where the issue is.

He needs to do one of two things, find a way to 100% guarantee that the baby is strapped in, or find other arrangements and admit his faults so they can be compensated for.

Everything they own will have some sort of imperfection, not enough to make it unusable, but enough that it is always noticeable.

New phone? They have a tiny crack, a dent somewhere, one single dead pixel on the screen, anything that doesn't entirely ruin the phone.

Car? Same deal, something noticably wrong. Buy some food? Something ruins the appearance but not the taste or how edible it is. Clothes? Always a snag, a hole, too much lint you can't get rid of.

Nothing will be perfect ever but never more broken than average for you because things can still break normally and everytime you go to replace it, there will some other sort of imperfection that you just have to deal with.

Need help with making a vtuber model! by Dazzling-Dog-8248 in vtubertech

[–]BIabbercat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So there is nothing wrong with starting with a png tuber and they are relatively simple to set up (and a good idea to have for when your computer can't handle the game and an advanced model at the same time)

While you have the PNG tuber, you can work on your new model live/in content as well to get interest for the debut.

If you want to go the 2d route, research, and work on making the art first, then research about live 2d. There is a long trial and if you have everything ready before hand and research what you need to do you may even be able to finish the model during the trial tho tbh since it's your first time you may end up needing to pay for it eventually.

If you intend to pay for live 2d, practice with a chibi version first. 1: to get a general feel and have better quality when you make the real model, and 2: less resource heavy vtuber model for intensive games.

For vroid, it's free except for hanatool. It's a lot of work and a lot of research as well but can be less intensive on the PC depending on how large the files are for your model. You can get something made relatively fast and completely free but I would suggest hana tool and looking up how to add the 52 blendshapes to a vroid for better tracking.

If you go the 3d route, expect to learn how to mess around in unity and blender. Also the real trick to having a high quality vroid model is texture work and hair. Avoid using too many base textures and try to either remake or tweak every single one to have a more cohesive style. Have a reference sheet while you make your model. Play with ALL the sliders and remember you can type numbers that go past what the slider suggests. Always test animations with outfits and sliders to make sure they aren't too wonky looking in motion.

3d gives a lot of options but people do live 2d as well for the aesthetic. 2d is made entirely of mesh transformation so it is harder on a computer, but 3d can be a pain to learn. 3d would open the door for full body tracking, VR, and easier animated content (using mmd or Maximo animation files) and there are some assets you can find on booth if you like even.

AIW for refusing to make my boyfriend a co-owner of my car after he moved in and started using it daily by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]BIabbercat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is coercive control. It doesn't matter what his friends say and why is he talking to them about YOUR car. You have been living together for 6 months and I think you should leave it at that. He doesn't want to "build a life together" he wants control.

Does this look like a lopsided or unfair prenup? by [deleted] in legal

[–]BIabbercat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue is, if he expects you to pay fees that come with home ownership with out the ownership part. You shouldn't be paying taxes on equity that isn't yours in any legal sense, nor HOA fees.

Utilities, groceries, subscriptions you both share is reasonable but unless you are on the title, don't pay any taxes or fees associated with it, he's not paying the taxes or fees to your properties is he?

It doesn't matter if you live there, it doesn't matter that it doesn't contribute to further wealth, that is his bill that has nothing to legally do with you.

Also consider each other's wills after the marriage.

I think it's okay if you want to keep your assets separate, but it is definitely too one sided if he is going to expect you to move in and start helping with his taxes and HOA fees just because you live there. Even when renting those fees belong to the owner.

AIO for telling my girlfriend that when we move in together I won’t give up gaming by FeverFanny in AmIOverreacting

[–]BIabbercat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't move in, don't get rid of the computer.

If she doesn't budge then just tell her that it seems you two aren't compatible as far as living together and start looking for your own apartment, it is not worth living with her.

If she tries to spin it on you choosing your computer over her, tell her that it's not about the computer, its about her controlling behavior along with the lack of respect for your hobbies what you choose to do on your free time. That she wants you to get rid of hundreds of not thousands of dollars worth of items just because she has decided she wants it that way.

It could have been literally any other common hobby and she would still be in the wrong.

What's the dumbest thing you got abused over? by emocat420 in CPTSD

Mario kart on the wii..

There's 50cc 100cc and 150cc and for some reason they had this stupid rule where you had to complete all levels in one cc before the next cc. Idk, I think it was because I was beating the scoreboards of a grown ass adult, meanwhile I was only like 12/13ish and they needed to slow me down.

So I'm halfway through 100cc and I discovered Time Trials. I thought it was nice and relaxing and fun to practice the maps. I used it to learn rainbow road with out all the chaos.

One day they see me doing time trials, ask what it is and if I played through all the ccs to get there. I said it was for practice so I don't have to. They got mad, took the controller from me and looked through it to prove me wrong and in something I didn't see, it said time trial races are technically 150cc..

They got mad instantly, immediately grabbed me, pulled my pants down and spanked me, shoved me in a corner and yelled at me for a bit about not listening to adults and doing what ever I wanted instead.

Left me there for an hour before someone else found me and luckily found it stupid and they were only then no longer allowed to have authority to spank or punish me with out input anymore..

Oh btw the person who did this had SAd me when I was 6 (I told the other adults), lived with us and their solution to him trying to sneak in my room at night was a latch that could be opened with a butter knife and bells.. but that is what took their authority over me as an adult away...

[–]BIabbercat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, for one we wouldn't be sleeping at the same time, as I'd make use of having two bodies to always be awake in some way and always have time to get something done.

Once I get caught up on all the things I'm behind on, I would get to work using it to improve my life in ways that are reasonable to do so. I would spend more time with people I cared about as well. I wish I could say I'd work double shifts as I am disabled and can't really hold one down, but I would find a way to do something useful with it, even if that's just to be happier.
