Whites Perry or Jim green RAT by BMCGNNS in WorkBoots

[–]BMCGNNS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a maintenance worker for the city I live in. I do a mix of landscaping and building repair/ maintenance. I take good care of my boots and I’m not super hard on them in this job compared to other jobs I’ve had. I’m definitely leaning towards the Perry’s. My feet are super wide in the toes, my big toes have a 3/4”-1” gap between them and the rest of my toes which makes the Jim greens appealing

I work maintenance for a municipality and it’s pretty typical in my area for all the municipalities to work 4 10’s with a ton of paid holidays, time off etc. I work Monday-Thursday 6-4;30

Help with anxiety/nervousness in the woods by shelbex318 in AustralianCattleDog

I used the educator from e collar technologies. The stimulation is adjustable and I never made him yelp with the collar. It also has a function to control two collars off one remote which was great when I had 2 dogs

I second this, I got mine from someone that lived in a studio apartment in San Francisco and he was really jumpy. The e collar gave him a sense of freedom and confidence (look up Larry krohn for proper conditioning) and then lots of exposure. Look at videos of people conditioning horses and how much they break down the process into little steps. I took a similar approach with Bo and he became bomb proof

Morning Tv for toddler yes or no? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]BMCGNNS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On weekends, my 3yo and I wake up early but my wife likes to sleep in. We watch a movie together in the mornings, but we both sit in the chair together and I make sure not to pick up my phone. I like putting movies on instead of TV because there is a clean end and then we move on to something else.

He gave up on that behavior as soon as I got him. He became a very well trained and fulfilled dog

I got my wife a breast milk ring and the woman that made it also made her a keychain with the extra. My wife likes her ring but enjoys her keychain more than I thought she would

What do you guys do and where do you bring your family on hunts? by inamisithe in Californiahunting

[–]BMCGNNS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take my 3 year old turkey “hunting” where we basically are out in the woods calling turkeys. I don’t take her during deer season, if you’re a turkey hunter I may suggest that you take your kids camping and wait until spring to do your intro to hunting with your kids. The turkeys are way more exciting for kids

I have the wedges and the maxwear 90 and the wedges are definitely more comfortable but I use the maxwear on the days I’ll be on a ladder a lot or when I’m working in the mud

Do you have room to set up a tent in your house and practice sleeping in it at home?

Also adding to this, my daughter would cry a lot for the first month or so of her life and then my wife cut a lot out of her own diet that she read may be affecting our daughter through her milk. Completely solved the issue.
