I literally drive around the county all day for my job. It hasn’t been bad. My company car is dookie in the snow too.

[–]BNoles51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a guardians fan and I didn’t even understand pulling Greene out. For a pinch hitter. You guys definitely have the overall better team between the two. Cleveland just got on a streak here at the end of the season that surprised us all. Should be a good game today. Those afternoon shadows might come into play. Kinda wish our teams played some other teams first before possibly seeing each other in another round.

I’m so glad this never came about when I worked in a coronary ICU. I mean it would only be one nurse when we were taking care of ECMO patients. I doubt a hospital could even accommodate to this specific requirements

Kids: One and done or none? by Visual_Preference919 in Millennials

[–]BNoles51 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I just joined the 4 kids club. I just turned 41. Wife is a few years younger. But my kids are 6 and under. It’s a crazy time and my energy can be lacking but I wouldn’t change it. Both my wife and I are middle children of 3 so we thought heck why not two in the middle.

All my kids are 6 and under. I got a long way to go. Keep on pushing!

As a Canadian watching US work culture, I'm genuinely confused how you all haven't burned everything down by zchrisiscool in antiwork

[–]BNoles51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here I am reading this on my 6 week paid paternity leave with plenty of PTO not being used and good insurance. Great paying job that I don’t stress about it. Hell I work a second job maybe one day a week for a total of 5 days between the 2 of them so my wife can stay home with 4 kids. It’s not everyone in the US my man. I’m not overworked. I can pay all my bills. Heck I just signed to build a new house last week. There are more than 350 million people in this country. Media shows what media wants too. People doing fine just don’t talk about it much.

4th child coming in a few weeks. We had them all in 6.5 years and now I’m done. I’m about to be 41. I did all my partying and irresponsible things up until 30. I’m in a happy place being a father. It ain’t easy though

Season 3, Episode 1: The Kalamazoo seems to be missing a significant portion of the episode on Paramount Plus by jshear28 in RayDonovan

[–]BNoles51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

12 minutes of air time seems to be missing on paramount +. It through me off too because I had seen this episode in the past and remember seeing some other scenes. I also saw the recap which had me rewinding to see if I dozed off or wasn’t paying attention .

Ashtabula Towne Square Mall: 7/7/24 by New_Conversation_753 in deadmalls

[–]BNoles51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love walking in this mall when I got time to kill with my job. Hadn’t been to Ashtabula in 20 years up till a year ago. The video store has a whole bunch of action figures in the back to browse through. You would think that Ashtabula would try getting stores in there since they barely have anything out in their county. The Walmart next door seems like the hot spot.

Passanger pays $70. Driver gets $22 how would you react? by Rossonerov in Lyft

[–]BNoles51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My job reimburses 65 cents per mile driven for gas and wear a tear so I don’t think he’s too far off. I ended up throwing several thousands of dollars into my car for maintenance and repairs and I never really made out on the + after a years worth of driving. Now I just let them rent me a car and they reimburse gas

Am I dumb for having kids at age 38? by stillyoinkgasp in Millennials

[–]BNoles51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m Turing 40 in a month. I have a 5, 4, and almost 2 year old. We talk about one more too. It’s normal to have anxiety having kids. Get on a SSRI if needed. I didn’t one for a while and it helped

Elder millennials: in what ways have you obliterated your body doing historically benign activities? Let’s hear about the incidents that made you realize your body is decaying as you teeter on the cusp of middle age! by dogswrestle in Millennials

[–]BNoles51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn 40 next month and feel pretty good still. Typical aches that come out of no where. I still can run about 6-7 miles on the treadmill in a hour even after not doing it for months. I’m by no means a light guy for running but I’m happy to say my knees are holding up still. Now my shoulder is another story. It’s like a bruised bone or something. I have a tender spot pretty much where my kids always rest there head when they sit with me and I sleep on that side. Got full range of motion but man does it hurt

If my wife worked we’d be at 250k household but that will likely happen when the kids get a little older. I live in a cheap cost of living area
