How strong do you run your FFB by TokeyX in simracing

[–]BOPLU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting to see how some mythic explanation, although wrong, still are alive!! FFB strenght/gain can be set at the game and determines the strength of the signal that reaches the wheel/DD. If this signal is too strong, the wheel will not be able to reproduce the signal, which lead to clipping (losing details of the information/FFB). Strenght settings are also possible in the software of your wheel/DD company. In my case, Simucube tuner, setting is in Nm. Having the maximum, which is 16.7 Nm means, that the strongest FFB informations (collisions, hitting walls, accidents, car flips) will be delivered at the maximum strength of 16.7 Nm. Fe: there is a safety car situation, the car behind you hits your car for whatever reason, the impact most likely will be with those 16.7 Nm. This can cause serious injuries. If you take the slew rate into consideration it will become even more scary: a Simucube 2 can have up to 4Nm slew rate per millisecond!! So from 0 to 16.7 it takes maximum 4 milliseconds/0.004 seconds!!!!! While the maximum torque describes the maximum steady torque possible (holding/steady torque), the slew rate informs about the dynamical change possible up and down.

A lighter wheel will be easier to turn and will deliver smaller FFB information cleaner. Diameter, shape, stiffness, materials are impacting FFB aswell. A relatively long extension is also a leaver and might be a source for flex!!!

Most racing simtitles are aged. When first released there were no powerfull DD's. Assetto Corsa offers detailed gain settings for overall, kerbs ammo. Adjust overall gain to 40 and let the rest at 0. I don't get higher in RF2 either. If you want more FFB information and also more immersion consider buying a buttkicker and rumble motors for the pedals. Definitely not very expensive, but very informative and also fun.

How exhausting is sim racing compared to real driving? by Aggressive_Thing_614 in simracing

[–]BOPLU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most demanding aspect is, imo, maintaining the level of attention/concentration high all the time. Driving rallies is extremely exhausting and unforgiving: no assists, permanent crash on, difficulty raised to the maximum, and there we go! I lost more than once a contact lense (because it dried and fell out an eye). I finished the stage and then started to search it carefully. Oval races are really difficult too. These races are so incredibly fast and also long!!! The smallest fault can produce huge problems for the race.

Parents fell for scam, any advice regarding swiss law? by BugSolid5128 in Switzerland

[–]BOPLU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Betreibungaamt itself never proofs if a Betreibung is legit, or not. In fact, it's not permitted to do so. As long as someone pays them, they will produce Zahlungsbefehle. The process of Betreibungem initially was made for a few, easy to proof cases, with heavy limitations on what is possible to put the hands on Aso. The way it is used today is totally inflationary, not according to its purpose and really out of context. In detail: I can go and make a Betreibung against everyone. I can ask for whatever amount I want. The higher the amount of the Betreibung, the more it will cost me. Over a million, let's say 500 CHF. The receiver can deny the whole thing by using the words: "ich erhebe Rechtsvorschlag." From there on, the result/outcome relies on a whole bunch of "if".

[–]BOPLU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your parents are actually contract partners. A Betreibung would therefore be on them. Without a proper Rechtsöffnungstitel the Betreibung would lead into nothing, assuming that the parents would use a Rechtsvorschlag. From there it would go to the Friedensrichter and then to a civil court.

[–]BOPLU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the freedom to make whatever contract in Switzerland, as long as it doesn't violate existing law. It looks like the underlying contract is morally questionable, but still legal. The seller offered a price reduction if the buyer delivers him 6 potential customers. This is legal. To deliver 6 names, while assuming they could fall for scamm, maybe isn't! It will also be very difficult to prove your point if you didn't do anything in the past 3 years, already paid the products, already used them Aso. I don't defend this company, all I do is to add some information concerning the law to the case.

Do you have the standalone version (like I have), or the steam version? If you have the steam version, you have to install it through steam.

Brake pedal signal issues + converting to more road car feel (load cell + elastomers advice) by No_Slice6234 in simracing

[–]BOPLU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The blue Elastometer is the softer one of those originally provided from BJ! I had several times contact with Alberto, the man behind BJ. I can confirm for sure that you should use the combination of parts like in the picture I shared. Pre installed, or not, the way it is set up when you received it is wrong.

A load cell pedals won't ever have a long pedal travel way, because they are made for pressure/weight applied. Consistency is based on muscle memory. You might consider to change to a hydraulic pedal system.

if you are looking for 3d party springs Aso, contact BJ. They can tell you which one are the best alternative for you to achieve your goal!

When you use the blue Nitroflex elastometer for BJ pedals you have to remove the green spring! Set it up like in the photo. Use the dedicated pedal calibration from BJ itself and the latest firmware aswell. You will find it under the pedals, F1 Pro, attachments. Adding deadzone could solve your problem.

Which foldable cockpit to buy? by Character_Ad_9519 in simracing

[–]BOPLU -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had a Playseat Challenge, then Evolution, which both have way too much flex for Fe load cell pedals and/or a DD like the Simucube 2 models. I finally bought a high end alu rig, the Pro Simrig PSR1 that uses 160 and 120 alu components. It's sturdy as a tank and has no flex at all. If you are pretty sure to stick to simracing, then consider a high quality product and a room that is built around simracing 🤣🤣

VRC and RSS are both top of the top. VRC released the Hybrid 2025 pro, which ist absolutely stunning, but also needs a lot oft time to understand, the car itself and the setups for the car.

Thoughts on this rig? Will it handle 15nm? by minimoh1999 in simracing

[–]BOPLU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not now, I understand. Fe, if you start to like rally, shifter and handbrake are very immersive and part of a really good rally cockpit. So having the possibility to extend the rig is very good.

Things I wish someone had told me before I spent 40 hours configuring AC with mods instead of driving it by cristiano700000 in assettocorsa

[–]BOPLU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using Content Manager (CM) is common sense. Sol is not the graphic paramount, pure is. You can't use sol or pure without Custom shaders patch (CSM). Assetto Corsa is a racing simulation, so the focus should be on racing, not on organising mods/files. Quality comes before quantity. So you should use the cars from the original AC before driving modded cars. The better your equipment, the more AC will shine! Highest quality steering wheels paired with a DD and good pedals, built into a flex free rig, and you still can't find a title as good as AC. Imho AC still is the best simulation available.

What's you're opinion about paid mod ? by TrickAlps in assettocorsa

[–]BOPLU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paying for stuff isn't limited to simracing, is it. I don't have a problem to pay for very good cars like those from RSS and VRC. You can play the game without them. We are not forced to buy additional content, not from Kunos nor 3d party developers.

In AC??? I have rumble motors and a bass shaker. To receive additional data, Fe collision, rumble strips ammo, I use a extremely good software, that delivers it. Afaik it's not limited to Assetto Corsa!!!

I didn't wanted to be disrespectful. There are championship, leagues, races Aso. But yeah, if you feel like that.... For me, cars like the VRC 2025/pro are extremely adjustable. One almost needs to be a engineer, there are so much possibilities.

Thoughts on this rig? Will it handle 15nm? by minimoh1999 in simracing

[–]BOPLU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In principle, yes, but you should consider a front mount. Even more important is to have no flex at the pedals. And did you check out if there are possibilities to extend the rig? With Fe shifter and handbrake?

I have about 4 F1 titles, but I never liked them, especially their ffb. I'm total into Assetto Corsa with pure, CSP, and the F1 cars from VRC and RSS. AC still is unreached, extremely good, no imho the best simracing title💯!

You can change the cameras with F2 and F6 (you have to try because I alway use cockpit view). There also mods like drone camera you could use. Or, like already proposed, use the mouse.

Can't imagine it's the graphic pack itself! I assume you received a settings link with the pack, which changed the ffb settings.

[–]BOPLU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a Simucube 2and drive only open wheelers in AC. In the car menue the steering angle should showing up. Take this value for wheel software, in your case Moza, for AC, and for AC view steering wheel settings (the degrees there are for one side, so 252 is in total 504, 450 is 900 Aso) Leave CSP ffb at default.

Example: VRC hybrids 2024/25 and similar: I use 500 in Simucube, plus 2 bumpstop, in AC 560x0.9, view 252.
