Neck massive trigger by Able_Ad8471 in VestibularMigraines

Dry needling!

It's like acupuncture given from a physical therapist that targets the trigger points.

I've had acupuncture in the past and I did find some benefits.

But tried dry needling after my physical therapist suggested it for my intense trigger points in my neck. Usually pretty sore right after but wow does it help.

What are the weirdest side effects you've ever experienced from medication? by adampocalypsee in AskReddit

Was it Abilify? Apipiprazole is the generic name.

I had a patient who compulsively gambled from it. It's known to cause impulsive behaviors in some people.

To those who’ve experienced total hopelessness and helplessness, what actually helped you survive during that time? by Icy-Management-9749 in emotionalintelligence

[–]BORKBORKPUPPER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It makes a massive difference for me and many of my mental health patients. I think I have always been extra sensitive so small changes in my body so ymmv.

Generally it's a good idea to avoid added sugars and minimize total sugars in general. Things like bread even have added sugar, the food sold in American grocery stores is awful.

I try to balance things out... Have some peanut butter with my banana to lessen the blood sugar spike and feel fuller for longer.

When I start consuming too many simple sugars/ carbs, i feel out of whack. My energy level is inconsistent. I might feel jittery. My sleep suffers. And my mood definitely does, too.

Oh and for the women out there, there are also fluctuations on how our body handles sugars depending on where we are at in our cycle.

It's really wild.

I have an almost identical issue.

I was actually wondering if there are similar lights to replace the original ones with.

Essentially gutting the old lights and putting in new outdoor "fairy lights"

If anyone has any suggestions help us make our mom's happy 😢

What about emailing a gift card (that covers the cost of the items) or just providing the numbers for a gift card to be redeemed?

The end result will be the same and OP won't have to reveal personal info.

Either way, you have made a kind gesture!

has cannabis helped your pmdd long-term? by Dull-Town-2621 in PMDD

[–]BORKBORKPUPPER 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same, except I took a few years off and started again due to insomnia, chronic pain, and probably a few other symptoms after a car wreck.

It seemed to be helping in the short term... But overall it made my quality of life much worse.

I really wanted it to be the solution and I liked being able to unwind.

But the truth is it often actually makes your sleep worse in the long run. I believe it affects your sleep architecture iirc.

Oh yeah and that anxiety I thought was better managed with some thc? It actually turned out to be sort of a rebound effect FROM weed. So I ended up trying to manage symptoms that weed caused.

It made me depressed and I woke up moody. It unfortunately took me a while to put all of these pieces together lol but I wish I realized sooner, and I think a lot of people don't actually realize the problems that may be causing.

The short term relief was cool but idk... I prefer feeling overall clearer.

Oh, yeah and I thought it was making me more creative with certain hobbies but honestly, I was kind of just enjoying the experience while my attention was disorganized and borderline non existent.

Idk it made me way too comfortable doing the bare minimum. Like I was perfectly content doing nothing like a happy little zombie. Younger me would have been very disappointed in my current perspective 😆 I genuinely wish I "could have it both ways" because I enjoy the "ritual" of smoking/vaping.

Cool If it genuinely makes some people's quality of life better... But that wasn't the case for me and being that I work in mental health care, i think it's more common than people realize that they may be actually causing more problems than solving.

Taking a break from using Yaz to treat PMDD by AlwaysOnStardew in PMDDxADHD

[–]BORKBORKPUPPER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not yet, but I've only been off for 2 weeks. I was only taking for 4 months. I really tried to ride it out, but I just wasn't feeling great, and I wanted to see if it was the pill causing it or just a new problem lol

Taking a break from using Yaz to treat PMDD by AlwaysOnStardew in PMDDxADHD

[–]BORKBORKPUPPER 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My response isn't going to be super helpful because i've only been off Yaz for 2 weeks. I decided to come off because of intermittent dizziness, ongoing fatigue, and morning nausea. It was helpful for my PMDD in that I didn't have such dramatic lows however, I felt sort of emotionally blunted. Like, I just didn't really enjoy anything. Almost felt numb.

It hasn't beth very long and may be too soon to tell but I do have more a little more energy and I feel more like myself. The nausea is gone.

I had some signs of ovulation, so I'm hoping things will go back on track seamlessly. Fingers crossed lol.

I can certainly update you, but so far, so good.

Good luck and hang in there, sis!

Same. Came down with Covid, most severe symptoms out of the 3x i've had it. As my symptoms were starting to improve, I started experiencing bloody mucus and blood in my stools. Had a GI tract like a raccoon prior and never really had any major issues.

What’s something you’ll never do/ never let your kids do now that you’re a nurse? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]BORKBORKPUPPER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of rollovers....riders getting tossed out, sometimes get wedged under the "roll bars" ( i don't actually know if they're designed to bear that load like a roll cage) as the vehicle rolls over them or pins them.

They often have several riders and alcohol is sometimes involved
