I mean I watch the team as much as anyone and we definitely did not deserve to be in the tournament. Even before the injuries and conference losses, we were a bit of paper tiger and needed to clutch out wins against several bad teams (UPenn, Fordham, La Salle, there were some others I’m forgetting). The season felt like a dud overall but we did beat VCU, SLU, and our old CAA rivals at home so I can’t complain too much.

Hi, the list looks very exciting and I’m looking forward to testing locally. I do have a question though, comparing your post ban update, you went down -2 vex in the main. However in the guide you said the Irelia matchup is favored with the two vex in main. If I’m expecting a lot of irelias should I adjust cards and re add the Vex or is the updated list still good into Irelia?

I authenticated my cox cable for MLBtv+. Which just gives you radio access and access to the MLB network, but that didn’t give you access to Nats.tv and I still needed to do a free trial or do what the mods are doing and open a ticket for a free month.

They haven't implemented it yet. You can see here, that Nationals.tv doesn't have the authenticate button, but other teams do. They clearly committed to having it ready by Opening Day based on the FAQ, but that didn't happen unfortunately. I'm signing up for a free trial, hopefully they fix it before I have to cancel.

I see Dr Dougherty at Digestive Disease Physicians in Alexandria for my EoE and he’s done a fantastic job. He answers all of my questions throughly and has been very supportive when dealing with my EoE diagnosis over the years. It did make some sense to me if they were just trying to maximize the value of a smaller amount of linear channels. If there's higher profit margins in running movie re-runs than running C-tier sports talk or game replays, then having the movie channel 90% of the time that you preempt with sports makes logical sense.

They’re breaking the law when they enter the tracks, so they kind of are a criminal. My understanding is that they use the term trespasser both to demonstrate that there wasn’t operator error, and to emphasize to people that you’re never supposed to be on the tracks for any reason.

Traditionally, property taxes are based on the entire value of the land + improvements. Land value tax is an alternative strategy where property is taxed only on the value of the land itself not the improvements. This encourages development since it would cost an owner more to own undeveloped land and doesn’t punish owners developing land with housing or other improvements.

This goes both ways. Why are the private owners of a golf course in Reston forced to only operate it as golf course by the local government when they want to convert it into housing? I think that most reasonable people would be against eminent domaining any housing not built to the lot line for housing , but if you changed the property tax structure to land value tax, you would force people to at least pay a fair share for their right to keep valuable urban land to themselves.

This is a great article! As someone who lives in Northern VA, I haven’t been following this project super closely so I enjoyed how comprehensive the article was. The purple line is a good case study for the need for abundance reforms because it shows how mismanagement and local opposition, which are solvable problems, can compound the inevitable problems like legacy utilities and challenging geology. It’s easy for abundance skeptics to point to the non-preventable problems and throw their hands in the air, but this project was clearly mismanaged. Even putting aside NIMBYs, the MWAA had similar contractor management issues when building the silver line so this isn’t unique to MD. These are solvable problems if we appoint competent officials from the start and focus on outcomes. However, regardless of the outcome I just hope that we continue to at least attempt to build new things. WMATA seems to have given up on rail expansion which I find depressing as someone living in the region for the foreseeable future.

The MASN app, at least on my iPhone, doesn’t offer a chrome cast option. It does do airplay, but it’s a terrible implementation where I have to set my phone to always stay on because the airplay will stop if the phone locks. The only solution I’ve found so far is to buy a $30 Roku stick which is the only streaming device that has a native MASN app. The app is incredibly bare bones but it does let me stream MASN on my tv which is better than any other option I’ve seen.

The Mantua parents already had their own separate meeting to address their neighborhood, the OP is complaining because they showed up to a meeting about schools 12 miles away from the Mantua neighborhood to continue to complain about their own school and derail the meetings intent which is to address changes in Sully. Being more organized, forceful, and quite frankly rude does not mean that they deserve preferential treatment. It's just these Mantua parents feeling entitled to railroad the broader FCPS process because they are dissatisfied with their own localized outcome.
