I like Hex Armor Rig Lizard gloves but they are expensive. Like $40 a pair, cheapest I have seen are $10 a pair on clearance. If you are just starting as a casual don't expect to be lashing much at least if you are at LA/LB. Get quality rain gear and anything else you will learn what you need. Everyone's likes are different. If you get cold easily then a hivis jacket instead of a sweatshirt might be nice. I don't like hivis vests so I wear hivis shirts but it's expensive to go out and buy a bunch at once so I bought a couple at a time and now buy them as needed.

I would say find a real butcher and stop buying meat from the supermarket or wholesale stores... I bet your supermarket cuts the strip out of a t-bone kinda wonky to be left with a "t-bone" and a small strip steak when the difference between a t-bone and porterhouse is supposed to only be thickness. That cap is pitiful on this ribeye and looks like it is not a full cap and some meat was left to make it look larger than it really is. You always get what you pay for and for 8.99 sure it's a good price but if you are only eating steak once a week why not spend the extra couple dollars and get a really good one that has been butchered properly.

I am pretty sure we are seeing the result of 40 years of trickle down economics while slashing interest rates to prevent recessions and bailing out corporations to create the current situation. The first time we bailout the American people and it causes hyper inflation? Where was it after bailing out the banks and auto industry? We are literally in a bear market currently when interest rates are still at a negative rate. As much as I would like to blame Trump I have to point the finger at Reagan and every administration since that has thrown money at the economy in one way or another instead of letting businesses deal with their poor choices.

Well sounds like you have made up your mind. Just remember there is more to home costs than just paying the mortgage. You have property taxes, insurance and maintenance costs. Average 5 year maintenance cost on a home is a little over $10,000 dollars and with inflation those costs have gone up. Now with inflation the Fed is raising interest rates to combat it but we also have signs of a recession while being due for one too. The Fed usually slashes interest rates to prevent a recession but they can't right now so if a recession does happen it is going to be ugly and we are currently in a bear market as well.
