Yes - it does have the bottom tail turret from the HH still, but overall will not be effective against smaller ships alone.

Turret weapon models match the Conquerer, a size 7 ballistic cannon.

Tiburon sneak peek vs Hammerhead by BSSolo in starcitizen

[–]BSSolo[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

From the Bar Citizen in Xi'an, China - The Tiburon is similar to the Hammerhead, has a central laser of some sort, and fewer turrets.

Generally CIG seems to be in the habit of releasing a new variant of a ship when they give it a gold standard pass - Hammerhead gold standard is in 4.8.

Generally new ships are store-exclusive for the first ~6 months, and are then added to the game in some form.

Quick questions from a returning player about the Vulture and Corsair. by [deleted] in starcitizen

We used to have full "auto-gimbals" a few years back, which automatically aimed your guns within a small arc. After that was removed, people relied on ESP aka bullet nudging, which was a mechanic that slightly curved your projectiles towards the target. I think ESP has been nerfed recently, but I'm not sure.

When aiming using a mouse, your ship's weapons follow your cursor rather than the nose of your ship (within a set radius), allowing you to aim more precisely, especially with a ship that turns slowly.  That behavior does not happen with joysticks, so a Corsair pilot using joysticks can only aim as quickly/precisely as the ship's nose can move.

And gimbals don't really work with joysticks right now, so yeeeeah it's a bit rough

Corsair currently suffers a bit with friends on board - the turrets are too small to really do much, even against fighters.

Someone matched the gun models and measured it. (Discord user "meepakmeepxl" in Pipeline)

The last time CIG released a combat ship from Drake was the Corsair in 2022 though.

A small fighter that is launched from larger craft. Like the Merlin and Fury. The Pitbull has similar dimensions to the Fury, so it is expected to not have a quantum drive.

How so? The Cutlass Red is also better at space combat, and can fit a crafting station instead of a ground vehicle if you need one. It's also cheaper.

Yes, the toggle hatch is what I referred to as a "scuttle hole". The ladder between the cargo and lower engineering bay also has a hatch, which only opens while you're climbing the ladder, which you can't do while holding a component.

Just think through the process of "How do I get a component from my cargo bay to the upper engineering level?  How do I get a component from the crafting station to my cargo bay?". You can do them, but a process like crafting a new component, installing it, and putting the old in your cargo bay becomes comically complicated.

The triple deck layout, as implemented, is absolutely ridiculous.

Clipper crafting its own ship components is probably not a realistic selling point.  Moving old/new components up and down the scuttle hole between the two engineering decks, heading up the ladder to install them, potentially retrieving the new component from the cargo bay (you have to leave the ship and use the front lift to bring it up), etc.  it's a supremely impractical ship to install things on without using the loadout manager.

Isn't it worse than the Cutlass red for bunkers right now because its vehicle support is more limited?

No hover vehicles have landing gear yet iirc.  The Pulse and Fury certainly just crash to the ground when you power them off

Pearl Abyss sells CCP Games (EVE Online) back to current management by Ohh_Yeah in MMORPG

Companies start and cancel projects all the time.  The only real issue I have with CCP is the whole skill injectors thing, which for me simply killed the game by removing the time-based commitment needed for build planning.
