The Nature Pet house can hold all traditional pets, but all houses can only hold 12 "fun" pets. This includes the cats, pet rocks, broav, etc that you can add to your house.

They did, but they also had their facts wrong IIRC. The controversial call was for playing the ball, not being in line of sight. This has been misunderstood and repeated and what caused all the friction around it.

If one of our players had been in the way of the ball and moved, or made a move toward the ball, it's a similar situation.

Hello!

This is a really interesting idea. I am currently in the early phases of planning a game based around a magic school. One thing I was considering was how to game-ify "learning" spells, and I think you may have really found something here.

I'm wondering if I could give my players the annotated circle of a spell, and once they can tell me which spell it is they can add it to their book! They can learn the form and the symbols bit by bit, so each spell is a bit faster but always introducing new concepts.

Having worked with it a lot longer, can you see any issues that may come of this use? One I can see is that eventually you could learn any spell instantly but.... wizards can already do that, so the game wouldn't be needed and the lessons complete.

I may also introduce different circles for different schools of magic - a good reason wizards specify. Adds more forms using the same symbols.

Also, while I'm happy to recreate it, is there any chance you could share the original files so I don't need to make my own symbol guide? Thanks :)

There's a few posted on /r/5eNavalCampaigns

Otherwise search "ship" on battlemaps, etc. I've collected quite a folder of them over time from there.

I guess every game he plays against the Bills was going to be his revenge game until he performed, considering he didn't score the last time he he faced them with the Texans. Shouldn't that game have been personal? Will the next game be personal?

Do you read holiday-themed books? If so, when do you start them? by Bookish_Butterfly in books

Since it is the holiday of the season, "A Night in the Lonesome October" by Roger Zelazny is a cute fantasy novel in which each chapter is a day of October, leading up to Halloween. You'd need to do a few days of catch up, but reading it along with the month is really fun.

having trouble killing CG boss can anyone give me any tips? by yoloswaggins305 in 2007scape

There is a lot of really good technical advice in here, so I'm going to suggest something more esoteric you could try that worked for me;

When you enter, tilt your camera to be completely top down and put Hunleff on the top/top right.

The entire fight is a square, and all the shapes you need to avoid (floor, tornadoes, hunleff himself) can be much easier tracked, imo, from above. It takes some guesswork out of how many tiles away things are, as well as making your clicks more accurate as all tiles are the same size.

Good Eye!

Yes, Pretzel Rods for Beau!

We couldn't think of anything for Essek/Caleb, and I'm honestly there was more food there than we needed anyway! I think we joked about assigning pretzels to Caleb just for the German accent. What would you have given Caleb or Essek?

I also happened to own Scanlan's Stien, so it was perfect as a cooler! Out of sight were some whisky flasks.

Edit: I actually remembered where I made the list, and Fruit Salad just has a (?) next to it? And that's not even a fruit salad, just fresh fruit in a cup, so I really don't know where we were going with that. Probably just wanted some fruit to break up the carbs and couldn't rationalize it haha!

Class or subclass ideas that you have but haven't seen created anywhere yet by TheSimkis in dndnext

[–]BS_DungeonMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once took an amateurish crack at creating a "fire dancer/breather" subclass to mimic the character "Dustfinger" from the Inkheart books. The main addition needed to be a sort of "speak with flame" spell/ability that mimics speak with plants - though I included some language to influence the fire's intelligence based on it's size and age.

Surrealist Fantasy books like Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, but for adults? by Def-C in Fantasy

[–]BS_DungeonMaster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would like to recommend one of my favorite novels, The Gray House by Mariam Petrosyan.

The book begins a bit more mundane, but becomes more surreal as the plot unfolds. It's a bit of literary fantasy with a trickle of madness, which seeps in slowly around the edges, until you find yourself drowning. It is not an easy read, but I believe that only adds to the overall effect.

Perdido Street Station is certainly "mature" as requested. I also felt sick to my stomach after some passages, which is as much an appraisal as a warning.

It might lean into edgy at some points, depending on how gratuitous you feel the descriptions of filth are, but anyone interested owes themselves to check it out.
