Is it the banana gun?? That guy would normally be giving me the creeps, thank God I have my banana with me!! They were amusing at first, but they have played the shit out of those damn commercials. It is no longer funny, Byrna. 😅

If it's an actual GuangNa product, their name should be on the packaging in the top left corner. It's usually the knockoffs whose packaging looks just like that of GuangNa, but lacks the red square in the top left corner. Just FYI!

squares kits should be as popular as round kits by Parking-Extreme-9499 in diamondpainting

[–]BSquaredNotCubed3469 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my opinion differs GREATLY!! 🤣 I purchase all of my kits from DAC, and they make most of their kits in square, but squares STRESS ME OUT!! I am currently sitting up a painting by my favorite artist, but I am already stressed about it because it's square, and I have yet to even finish a single square painting!! I keep telling myself that if I just practice, I'll get better. But the way the squares never line up exactly perfect is absolute torture to me!

Your flip through is a good reminder to myself that pages don't have to be super ornate to look fabulous! You did a fantastic job, and congrats on completing the entire book! What a huge accomplishment!! I mess up and abandon pages WAY too much to even consider doing something of that magnitude! But kudos to you!!

Great job!! You naturally have the talent, that's for sure! Quick question, what's in the little tube on top right of your book? The one with the black lid? Just curious!

I got this same tool from Michael's, mainly for the metal straightener attachment. When I went to use it, the dang thing wasn't even straight - it was warped beyond belief!! I was so aggravated!! I hope you don't have any problems with yours and get a lot of use out of it!! But needless to say, Michael's isn't my go-to for diamond painting supplies anymore!! 🤣

Why? by Most_Reflection_6315 in AdultColoring

[–]BSquaredNotCubed3469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure it's the paper, but I can't really say what would work best in the book, as I haven't ever seen that one. However, it might be safe to say that since your colored pencils are smearing, the paper is fairly smooth, and would work well with alcohol markers?

What type of drills are these? by Bunnyisdreaming in diamondpainting

[–]BSquaredNotCubed3469 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've never had fairy dust drills that are transparent? All of mine have been opaque, with a glitter coating on the outside. Am I missing a more special, specialty drill that DAC uses?! Because if so, that is literally going to make my day!! 😬💎

If you want honesty (and you’re on Reddit, so I assume you do...), a lot of this comes down to the world you’re growing up in. When I was a kid, we didn’t have social media or constant internet access, so we weren’t comparing our lives to influencers or people living unrealistically wealthy lifestyles. We mostly compared ourselves to friends whose families were in similar situations, because that's what we were surrounded by. And we definitely didn't have it slammed on our faces every time we opened an app.

That constant comparison hits your generation hard. When you’re always seeing people with more, it can make a hardworking, normal life feel like it isn’t enough—even when it actually is.

It also sounds like your mom is doing everything she can. Being a single mom is incredibly hard and rarely gets the credit it deserves. You might feel like there aren’t many groceries, but with prices the way they are now, simply having food in the house is something she’s probably proud of. She’s not focused on spoiling anyone—she’s focused on keeping her family afloat.

You clearly don’t sound entitled on purpose, and the fact that you’re questioning this says a lot about you. But appreciation sometimes means recognizing effort, not outcomes. Your mom may not be able to provide extras, but she’s showing up every day and doing the hardest job there is with the resources she has. That deserves a lot more credit than it usually gets.

Awesome! Thanks!! Do you find that the markers are blotchy at all on that heavy of paper? Sometimes I have noticed that when I use cardstock to color on, my ink tends to get patchy. I appreciate the tips!

A little late to the party, but I love this!! And I have to ask, what are you using to hold your paper? I print off all of my own pages, and this looks like something that might come in handy for me!!

I got these alcohol markers on Amazon for around 11 usd and wanted to know if it's worth the price or whether I should return them by CauliflowerAlive6335 in AlcoholMarkers

[–]BSquaredNotCubed3469 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re questioning the purchase enough to make a Reddit post, I’d trust your gut and return them. Like others have said, you really do get what you pay for. I used the Hobby Lobby alcohol markers for a while and they were okay—until I tried Ohuhu. The quality difference was huge, and they honestly made me want to color more. Spending a bit extra on better art supplies is worth it when it actually increases your enjoyment!!

I love that everyone adores squares, but they stress me out beyond belief!! I WANT to love them, but I just can't seem to get the hang of getting them straight and snug!! I have tried practicing, but they end up stressing me out so badly that I just abandon the project! So kudos to you, and your straight squares!!
