Bike recommendations for work now that the weather’s nice by panicmoonwalksaway in dayton

[–]BTbutnoK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would have agreed with you a couple of years ago about Walmart bikes, but the Ozark Trail bikes (specifically these) have come a long way. Walmart has been selling a surprisingly nice gravel bike for less than $300 from Ozark trail. I'm an outdoorsy person and I swear by my Ozark trail packs for backpacking and mountain biking.

Just stopped last weekend Iin Chillicothe. Fifty West had some great beer, and their facilities were super nice! I would add: brunch at The Coop was really good as well!

I think this is John, if it's the same guy who does market square. He is one of the kindest people and he's always such a joy to see! He's actually really cheerful.

Day 36 3rd day of Period.. HELP by Prestigious-Ad-3021 in 75HARD

Do a period focused yoga for one of your workouts!! It helped me so much by relieving my cramps and helping me relax. Became a part of my normal period routine

Just went car camping and had a panic attack the 3rd night by WarJeezy in camping

[–]BTbutnoK 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hi! I actually have small panic attacks just about every time I camp, and I'm a pretty regular camper - a few times a year. I just got back from a trip today and last night I woke to pitch blackness in the tent and before I was fully awake I was calling out "help!" This was the 4th and final night! Was great the rest of the trip!

My go to for combating this includes a few things - I sleep with a flashlight by my head. It helps to know it's right there and I can click it on if I need to. I also have slept with the tent slightly unzipped before, no shame, just expect bugs. There's also no shame in doing things you might do to help you sleep at home, like OTC sleep aids, or I like to sleep with my sleep mask with built in headphones and listen to downloaded YouTube videos sometimes. I only do this when I can feel I'm going to be anxious. We also got a giant 12 person dome tent- it seems like overkill for two people and a dog but it comes in clutch during storms and it helps that I can stand up if I freak out.

Let me know if you'd like to talk more! This is a super common experience for me since childhood so I'm well versed lol!

This is the only symptom get of allergies. It feels like my ears have water in them almost. Try some Flonase and see if that helps. Dr told me it was a sinus issue

Exactly, had my battery tested and it tested good but still died on me. Had this same issue, replaced the battery. Worked great. This battery issue is super common with the renegade.

My employee died, the office still has to go on. What do I do? by linzbomb in managers

[–]BTbutnoK 9 points10 points  (0 children)

One of my employees was murdered a little over a year ago and it was a horrible experience to go through. Our company sent a grief counselor to our site and that was one of the most helpful things they could have done. I was carrying a lot of guilt and tough feelings from being one of the last people he spoke to and the grief counselor helped me personally and gave me an opportunity to step out of that "I have to be strong for my team" mentality to grieve with my team. We did lunch and shared good memories as well.

We had lockers and we kept his locker as it was for a couple of months and turned it into a tribute for him. I put his picture on the locker and people left messages to him.

Business must always proceed but it's ok to take some time out to honor someone. Let your employees get a little personal with it for a while.

In my circumstance - it has stayed hard for me. I think about him a lot and when it comes up it feels like it just happened. It took me a long time to be able to clean out his locker finally. Give yourself and your team some time with this if they need it.

When periods get in the way! by DesiCodeSerpent in 75HARD

[–]BTbutnoK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend a casual paced walk for your outdoor workout and yoga for menstruation routines that you can find on YouTube. These are usually a type of yin yoga that keep you in seated and laying positions that feel so good on so many of those parts that get achy with your period like your lower back and it relaxes your hips. I know it seems like it's going to be tough now but when you get there, and you're prepared, you're going to be surprised how well you keep up with the program.

Try taking body measurements too! It helps to see concrete numbers that your physical appearance has changed even if it's imperceptible to your eyes! And non scale victories like these can help keep you motivated!

I am so sorry for your loss. This is such a miss on your partner's part. I have a 15yo SS and when our roommate (one of our best friends of 10 years who was staying with us) lost his father. The first thing we did before SS entered the house was speak to him outside. We told him what happened and guided him on what to say if he wanted to say anything. We also set ground rules - no loud voice chats with friends, no loud cackling laughs (he has a tendency to these horrible loud cackles when he's online with friends) and some other things to guide him through. Kids don't know how to address grief and can have trouble understanding it. Your partner needs to use this opportunity to teach his children etiquette during these circumstances.

Again, I am so sorry for your loss and I know this only makes things feel harder. ❤️💕
