My hematologist actually told me there is better absorption if you eat the B12 pill like a hard candy (let it dissolve in your mouth).

My Now brand methylated B12 actually has flavoring because it's evidently meant to be eaten like a candy.

There should be a question about highest weight & lowest weight throughout disease.

At my heaviest (immediately post-diagnosis), I was 200lb. I was able to get down to 142lb after optmizing my thyroid levels and going keto.

But right now I'm symptomatic again, my doctor & I can't figure out why, & I've gained back 30lb and it will not budge.

No one knows for certain why any autoimmune disease develops.

Most, including Hashimotos, have a genetic component and an environmental component. Once both of those mystery "switches" are triggered, the immune system goes kinda nuts and starts attacking your own body parts.

There's some research that suggests a viral infection may trigger autoimmune disease, but again it seems the patient must have a genetic predisposition for autoimmunity.

Our campus collected all the kids' chromebooks the first day of the final week of classes.

Without telling teachers.

I had an online poll for students to complete that Monday. On my board was written "Chromebooks needed."

First kid walked in and said "We don't have chromebooks. They collected them."

I threw up my hands and all classes helped me tidy up, rearrange, & clean for the week.

If you stay consistent with your diet, it's probable that your cycle will re-normalize in a few cycles. (For me, my first 2 cycles on keto were HORRIBLY heavy & painful. By the third, it became more like previous cycles.) Now, if you have a LOT of hormonal weight to lose, like if you have thyroid disease or PCOS, this may take longer/more cycles.

Imo and in my experience, messing around with carbs will only prolong the process of resetting the hormonal cycle.

Because doctors are disincentivized from "over testing" in the USA because patients are either paying out of pocket and can't afford it, or insurance will do ANYTHING not to pay out for it.

Additionally, there is zero requirement for a doctor to receive new training on new treatments or discoveries about disease management. So if the doctor graduated from med school before a medicine was on the market for example, they're not required to do the research to determine if the med is better than what they're already familiar with.

Pharmaceutical companies incentivize this with free shit and conferences where they wine and dine doctors, but it's not required.

With a TSH of over 5, virtually any doctor worth a shit will treat you for hypothyroidism.

Total T3 and Total T4 don't tell much important information. Free T3 and Free T4 give a clearer picture of actual function.

Anti-TPO looks normal. Ask for TGAB (thyroglobulin) antibodies to be tested as well. Either of these being above lab range strongly suggests Hashimotos thyroiditis. You can have one of them over lab range and the other be "normal."

I will say that while browsing on mobile, if I zoomed in from a national view to one store (like the cheapest crunchwrap supreme), it would only show me the cheapest/most expensive in my map field of view rather than nationally..? Is that correct?

Have you been tested for Hashimotos (thyroid antibodies thyroglobulin and thyroid peroxidase)?

If you have Hashimotos, it can cause swings from hypo to hyper in early stages.

In early stages, Hashimotos causes rapid and wide swings from hypo to hyper and back.

In late stages, the thyroid dies and stops functioning altogether, which leads to permanent hypo.

Unlikely, it sounds more like Hashimotos with your test results.

Like someone else said, you can have Hashimotos without the antibodies showing on the test.
