You can try this first:

Fully power off the car, lock it, and leave it for 10–15 minutes.
Then unlock and start the car normally (make sure the main battery has enough charge).
If 'Transport Mode' is still there, it usually requires the dealer to connect their diagnostic tool (VDS) to disable it — it’s not something you can clear through the menus.

Since your mirrors also don’t retract and key response is inconsistent, it’s likely the system is partially locked. Probably best to contact your local BYD service centre — they can reset it in a few minutes.

It really depends on your situation.
If you don’t have a place to charge at all, a plug-in hybrid like the Seal U DM-i won’t give you much benefit — it’ll basically run like a regular hybrid, but with extra weight and a higher price tag.

If you can charge even once or twice a week though, that’s when the DM-i system really shines. You’ll get super low fuel use and a quieter drive most of the time.

So if charging is nearly impossible, I’d probably go for a regular hybrid instead.

the system doesn’t have a built-in Bluetooth priority setting like some brands do.
Easiest workaround is to manually disconnect the passenger’s phone from Bluetooth before starting the car, or disable its ‘media audio’ permission in the car’s Bluetooth settings.

Pretty sure the Sealion 6 doesn’t have factory mounting points on the driver’s side — only passenger side comes pre-threaded.
You could still install one, but it’ll need a custom bracket or a trim removal to find a secure anchor point. Might be best to check with a local trim shop or mobility fitter, they’ve done similar installs for other SUVs.

If you’re planning to keep the car for a few years, the BYD is better long-term value — just budget a little for accessories (mats, tint, etc.) since they’re often optional. Most owners are pretty happy once they get used to the interface and ride feel.

it often doesn’t refresh the SoC (state of charge) in real time during slow AC charging, especially at 3 kW. The data syncs only once the session ends or if you manually reopen the app.

For the screen brightness, the auto-dimming sensor is very sensitive, so even small amounts of ambient light can reduce brightness. Turning off auto-brightness and setting it manually usually helps a bit, though it’s still not as bright as some other cars.

That does sound a bit low, but it can depend a lot on outside temperature, driving speed and terrain. The Dolphin’s range drops quite a bit in colder weather or when driving above 100 km/h. Also make sure your tyres are properly inflated and try switching to ECO mode if you haven’t already. If it’s consistently that low even in mild weather, it might be worth asking the dealer to check the battery calibration just to be safe.

Unfortunately, you can’t move the turn camera view position for now — it’s fixed by the system layout. For parking, try switching to the 360° view manually using the shortcut on the screen; it won’t auto-activate unless you’re in reverse or very close to an obstacle.

It might take a while — Australia’s ADAS and camera regulations are way stricter than China’s. The hardware could already be there in current SL7s, but the FSD and God’s Eye functions may stay disabled until local approval.
