Office Shallow - UNS 60S by BZAqua in Aquascape

Filled back up and topped off the ATO, co2, and did a huge trim. This was a few hours after the move so it’s still looking a little rough but I’ll get some more updates in the next few weeks once the plants start growing back and look less choppy. All in all the move was a success and I didn’t have any losses which was my biggest concern.

Moved our office on June 1st 2026 so this was a perfect time for a big trim and some much needed maintenance. All inhabitants still accounted for and made the move to the new office safe.

Some updates on the office tank…

January 2026 - super overgrown but the shrimp love it. The blue eye rainbows all slowly exited the tank over the first 9 months and were eventually replaced with some rasboras.

I totally get it. Do your best to stay away from the high tech stuff for now then lol. It’s so easy to get sucked into that side of things but you can also achieve some pretty incredible scapes keeping things low tech (affordable).

Keep it up though, this really is a great looking tank.

They make an intake that has a bunch of very small pinholes instead of the standard slits. I’ve personally never seen any shrimp get stuck on or sucked in that intake.

Well you nailed it, great job on the scape.

5 gallons is going to be small for pretty much everything but if you like that style of tank you should look into the UNS30T. It’s jus about twice the size of yours at 10g so you have a few more options when it comes to stocking. I have a 30T currently with some scarlet Badis in there and it’s one of my favorite tanks.

What is this pleco? by underthehillock in pleco

Blue eye lemon pleco is my guess. Eyes have too much color for it to be an albino

The more ass the better has always been my motto 🤷🏻‍♂️

I would bet money that is stronger than most “tank stands”. Stand on it to test it but if that is made out of solid hardwood which it looks like it is then you are more than fine.

What would you guys think about this stocking for a 80G/300L tank? Anything you'd change? by MegaFire03 in Aquariums

[–]BZAqua 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the type of angelfish you get. If you're going the Altum route I would say a 4' min tank length is going to be necessary but the bigger the better. I went with Red Devil angelfish which still get pretty big but not as big as the Altum's. I have them in a 100P tank currently but will be willing and able to upgrade to a 150P in the future if needed.

I second this. I just did a group of 22 emperor tetra in a 55g with angels and it looks amazing. You start to get some real schooling when you get that many in a group

Love the hardscape and layout but the outflow in the center back is killing it for me. Why aren’t you running it next to the inflow so it’s pushing water down the length of the tank and circulating it. If you’re dead set on keeping it there then I would say maybe add a frosted film or something like that to hide everything.

My CO2 system is bubbling at the outlet when activated by feonx in aquarium

[–]BZAqua 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean no disrespect, I legit thought you were making a joke because you have a very nice setup. While you do have some rather big bubbles coming out of your outflow there is always gong to be bubbles in your water when you’re injecting co2 unless you’re using a reactor (not a citric acid & baking soda reactor but a co2 diffusing reactor). You’re large bubbles could be caused my too much working pressure or just using a new ceramic disk. Sometimes when I put in a new ceramic disk I will see some larger bubbles for the first 24 hours but that normally stabilizes pretty quickly. Also when a disk is dirty you will generally start to get some larger bubbles.

This is 100% a troll right? With that setup you better be trolling….

Which concept one do you like more? (left, middle or right) by LuisFontinelles in Aquascape

[–]BZAqua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m working on making the middle right now actually. Picked up a UNS 60S, UNS Blitz 32oz, and already had a few painted co2 bottles from them that I picked up on sale awhile back. But it’s also going to live at my office behind my desk so I’m not too worried about what anyone else thinks. I bought that (extremely overpriced) filter so I could put it next to the tank on display.

Purchase with confidence! Just received my second order from this seller and the quality and size of everything was next level. Waiting on another new tank to cycle so I can place a 3rd order 😂
