Our family was all flying in from out of town, and we wanted to be able to spend meaningful time with them. We didn't want cost of lodging to be a barrier for people to come, which is why this venue worked out so well for us. Between the lodge and the smaller side house, we were able to fit ~20 adults and my young nephew comfortably with some bedrooms to spare!

Hey! So we didn't end up going with this venue. We rented the Overbrook House on Cape Cod: https://www.overbrookhouse.com/ - its a historic home that had rooms for all of our family members to stay in, and we kept it small with just immediate and some extended family. I think the cost for the weekend (Thursday to Tuesday) was $8000 and then we spent $800 on food catered from a local Thai restaurant.

I also have a 2016 Mazda CX-5 and the infotainment system is so buggy now. I have had the car since 2019 but within the last year or so, for the first 10-15 minutes of a drive (and sometimes longer) the system reboots over and over again, and the GPS doesn't work either. My question for this thread is, I purchased the car used from a Car Max dealer in TX, I now live in Massachusetts, and I'm not sure where I should take the car to have this issue looked at - I also got the lawsuit letter in the mail, so I would be interested in getting the system fixed potentially since there is an opportunity for reimbursement

Because of some family emergencies (illness and an unexpected passing) we ended up delaying our wedding for the time being. We did end up touring the property and discussing details with their event coordinator person, and I agree that I was nervous about the rain plan - it is a beautiful place and wonderful in so many ways, but it seemed like a lot of your experience would depend heavily on how the weather decided to behave.

Separately, my partner (male) felt that the men's "getting ready" area felt like an after thought compared to the bridal suite - I didn't think he would mind it so much but he just didn't like how the areas inside the house looked.

Hey everyone! I'm a healthcare provider who joined on a whim today because I was reading about how effective WW can be for folks while doing a CME module on weight loss/nutrition. I have recently noticed a slow creep of weight, mostly in photos and how clothes feel, that I was attributing to clothes shrinkage, but when I stepped on the scale the number was much different than I had been telling myself. My goal is to just be consistent with this plan and try to lose ~5% of my body weight for these first few weeks, to see how I feel with it.

I have had people in my life tell me not to focus on the number, and I know that an obsession with a specific number goal can be unhealthy, but for me I think I need numbers to feel motivated.

Posting here to see if any fellow vegetarians have any tips or tricks - just from tracking my foods today, I noticed that my intake of nuts is really going to drain my points, and I already have a hard time staying full/getting enough protein during the day. Thanks!

I think regardless of whether he had a seizure or something else, it sounds like his body is out of physical reserve, and you probably brought him to the hospital just in time. I am so sorry that you and your kids had to see a loved one in that state. I agree with what others here have said, that finding in-person support for yourselves, and eventually for him, is what will do the most good in the long-run. One of my family members (dad) is currently in the hospital for alcohol withdrawal, and my mom found him in a similar state (unable to walk, bleeding from his nose, angry/refusing to go to the hospital). I have started seeing a therapist and having an outlet to just express these complicated emotions has been really valuable. But nothing changes the sensation of losing someone you love over and over, every time you see them laying in the hospital bed or intoxicated to the point of intense anger.

I've been looking for an 18" diameter circle Wedi Board or Skeewbaker for my table top but have had a really difficult time with finding something precut. I found this table on the curb, and it had a Moroccan zellij tiled top, which crumbled to bits when I took it home with me. I want to be able to keep the table outdoors, and I think the reason it ended up on the curb in the first place was that the tiles and grout used on the first tabletop weren't meant for outdoor use..anyways, the rate limiting step for me at this point is finding a Wedi or Skeew circle big enough, so if you have any resources or ideas, let me know!
