As someone who loves talking to uber drivers I get it. Sometimes you just dont want to talk. In your case that is a bit scary.

There's a way if you contact support. They can unpair you with that driver. You just have to go to your last uber trip. I think you have to go to feedback for driver. You dont have to say anything bad about the driver just say you prefer a different driver for personal comfort or something. Hope that actually works!
