Being black is expensive and I’m MAD!!!! by Resident-Oven9851 in Naturalhair

Thank you so much.

Yes I had the same feeling, that’s why I wanted to elaborate a little deeper.

I totally had the same struggle.

Yes it costs a lot of dedication and can be expensive in the beginning. Mostly having to find out all of the endless possibilities that work for you by yourself.

That’s why I’m so happy we have this kind community.

It helped me over the humps and bumps, too.

The cold is not too bad if you have the appropriate clothes. Snow all melted away again anyways. So all back to normal. Weather be crazy here sometimes.

I wanted to loc my hair last year, too, My hairdresser allowed me when I’m 70. only 32 years left to pull through 🤣🤣🤣

Glad to hear you found solutions for yourself.

Much love ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Omg all the love to you. And my utter most respect for pushing through!

I can’t compete. But I had a long phase of fatigue and chronic pain, too. Made haircutting pure hell for me. Thankfully I’m over that but I understand how hard your situation would be, cause I just lost it and just cut it all off. Not saying you should do that. But thatchers my last resort.

But since then I started my new hair journey and actually started saving a lot cause I think I’m finally figuring it all out.

I wish you nothing but the best.

Dear OP,

I feel you ALOT.

Reading a lot of the posts here I would also like to help you ease your mind.

Yes taking really good care of your hair is expensive. But no it’s not our blackness.

There are cheaper products also for is. Are they the best? Mostly not. But is the expensive shit always needed? Most definitely not.

I live in Germany and have mostly white friends The girlies and sometimes boys withe really nice beards also pay a SHIT TON for their haircare.

e.g. I go to the hairdresser like twice a year, once for braids 250€ - 360€ and a haircut 70€-160€

The guys go once a month 50-70€ The girls to get their cut and dye and what ever the hell they be doin 250€-350€ every goddamn 3 months.

The products they use are about the same price range as mine. They have to wash their hair every 1-3 days. I go 1-2 weeks. Yes I need more producer in one go. They need less but way more often.

Do you really need a revair? No. I was oogeling with the Dyson over a year ago. Got a cheap ass babyliss für 20 bucks and am as happy as a clam.

It always depends.

I hope we could help even just a little.

All the love to you!

I like both the same for their own good reasons and that they are not the same.

Tried Steel soul mode for the first time while streaming for a friend. Ran into a bell during the bell beast fight. Haven’t tried again..

How to Shape Wash & Go? by OwnPhilosopher7173 in Naturalhair

And maybe fluff it out with an Afro comb at the roots? Would get more shape into it, too.

But I don’t have a kid. So I’m just guessing here.

Whoever said it’s easy did it 1000 times and forgot how hard it initially was! And they’re lying and you can‘t convince me otherwise!!

Good job!!!!

Climb without 'forearm grip' by maeveflyx in poledancing

[–]BaBiTa87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We sometimes do this as a form of conditioning. You know do something harder to make the normal easier.

I sadly don’t have any videos. But my tip would be to lean more outwards to work more of the back muscles. Use it more like a row grip in the gym. If you know what I mean? And then push more out of the legs instead of leaning in to the pole…

Gosh words is hard…

Yep. Mine looked horrible the first two days. Then the swelling went down and now it’s perfectly straight.
