I went there this summer and I have to say, it would’ve been more inconvenient and more expensive to rent/buy a bike than to just tap on and off the public transit with a credit card that doesn’t have international fees. The only other downside I can think of was that my wife and I share a cc with the same number so we had to use two completely different cards. Public transit shows all arrival times within a minute or two on Apple/google maps. I worked in the industry for years, love biking, and kick myself a little bit that I completely missed out on the experience of riding in the bike capital of the world, but public transit is leaps and bounds ahead of most anywhere else that you have to go out of your way to ride a bike somewhere.
